Hey!
A few questions for 1st years and up.
If I apply to a different program, and then second year I transfer into Nursing/Health Sci I know that for prereq chemistry you need a 65%, I only got a 60%, would you recommend taking chemistry 1st year to be able to transfer into Health Sci/Nursing?

Anyone know the chances of YorkU going on strike again in the next 4 years? I don't wanna pay all that money and have to come back an extra semester or year :/ Applied to: York/Seneca[ACCEPTED], Ryerson/GB, Ryerson/Cenn[ACCEPTED]

1. Which school(s) are you applying to? University of OttawaAlgonquin College RyersonOntario Insitute of Technology Queens 2. What other programs are you applying to as your back up? Criminology, Pre-nursing but mostly likely will go back to high school for a year, if I don't get into any schools  3. What GPA are you aiming for for your final year? At least 90% but had pretty bad grade 11 marks Bsnc Nursing @

I'm applying for the ryerson, ryerson george brown, and ryerson centennial programs. I have a question, in order to be accepted to these schools, do we only need the high school course requirements with the averages, or do we also need to send the "additional nursing requirements" such a the cpo forms, the police check and the heart and stroke Certificate?do we need these requirements/certificates before we apply to the program on ouac or only once we have been accepted?

I think its only when your accepted, they give you a certain time frame to get all those requirements completed! call the schools just to be sure! :) **Shields**

Hey guys! I see a few of you are looking at the Ryerson Collab program. I did my first year in the Ryerson/Centennial program, and I'll give you guys some information. The program is very poorly organized and extremely frustrating when you try and get answers from people. The first documentation they sent me were two different brochures, one saying I need to pay a $500 deposit in July, the other saying $1000. That's just an example. The financial aid services at Centennial are every-man-for-himself, and you wind up taking a number and skipping all your classes to not miss your chance, or else show up at 7:30am. It's a single building in the middle of no where. If you want a campus feel, avoid it. There's only a single food court (with good burgers, actually) and a Tim Hortons, across the street there's an A&W in the gas station. That's all that you can walk to between classes. The majority of students are older. They have taken some years to work after high school, had children, gotten a degree in something else, etc. I was only one of 2 fresh-from-high school students in my Practical class. There are next to no clubs or activities, no frosh week. The Morningside campus is pretty excluded from the main Progress one. For some reason there is no where to sit! That was honestly the worst part. There was no wear to study unless you wanted to balance your laptop and textbooks on your lap on a bench with 123810 other super-loud people. The "silent study" room in the tiny library has like 10 chairs. The worst part is that you're paying university fees ($7000) to attend a college, where the fees for the other students are half that. In conclusion, I'm just warning you that if you want a true college experience with clubs, activities, community, a campus, etc, avoid Centennial Morningside. I'm in the process of transferring myself. That being said, it seems to be an excellent school for mature students who just want to get to class and get their degree, or international students (and there are plenty.) If you have any questions, feel free to ask. :) I did have two excellent professors that taught me a lot, and I thoroughly enjoyed the classes. It's up to you. Just a heads up. Ryerson/GB, Ryerson/Centennial, York/Seneca, UOIT, Trent, and Humber College
2. What other programs are you applying to as your back up?
Practical Nursing... I heard there's a one year bridging program you can do after to become an RN!
3. What GPA are you aiming for for your final year?
Well i came back a semester to upgrade, my average was a 75% but now currently i sit at an 82% I'm aiming for 85%! (I'm tryna be practical here!)
Ah please help me out i need to know if you guys think i'll get in with my marks! I am beyond nervous because i'm scared that i probably won't make it this time around again! :(

Holy wow, I feel like a senior citizen in here! I'm graduating from a BA in Psychology in April.
I'm applying to Ryerson-George Brown, Ryerson-Centennial, St. Lawrence, Loyalist, and Seneca@YorkU. I'm surprised more here are applying to universities rather than colleges! Any reasons why?
I have a 73% GPA in my undergrad, 80% in my last two terms. My highschool GPA was 86% (back in the day!).
Anyone else here applying from college/university instead of highschool?

has anybody received letters of acknowledgement from the ryerson-centennial/ryerson-george brown or york-seneca programs? because i applied to 7 nursing programs 2 weeks ago, and those 3 are the only ones i haven't received acknowledgement letters/emails from yet :/ maybe because they're colleges? :s :s beyond confused.

I applied to all three collaborative programs with ryerson. I got one letter from the main ryerson site And I got 1 letter to acknowledge my application at all three schools **Shields**

i applied on the colleges website. there was this letter that came with my acknowledgement saying to fill out the supplementary form but at the end it says "form is to be completed by all applicants who are not currently enrolled in a full-time high school program" so I guess I'm not going to bother filling it out, since I'm currently in high school. here's the link to the supplementary form though http://www.ryerson.ca/co...iveSupplementaryForm.pdf

Though, i'm quite lost as to why they had sent this as a second later, at least 10 days after the first acknowledgement letter.

In the OUAC, I applied for York Nursing and it said 75% at least for Math. But on the university site, it says at least 70%. Which info's correct?
