Businessboy wrote:Hi guys,
I want to know my chances for Schulich,
I have already completed 7 12 u/m courses, however, when I derive my top six average it ends up being 91.5% (currently in my top six I have am including my chemistry mark which in I am definitely not proud of 86%)
By the end of mid-term, I am expecting an average of 94%-95% and my supplementary was really good except for one essay which was bad.
So, what are my chances for early acceptance and overall acceptance? I am worried because since I have finished 7 courses they wouldn't bother looking at my mid-term marks because they will them as inflated.
Thanks I think you are over thinking things. They wont think that your marks are inflated just because they're higher, I mean they accept private school marks ROFL. Anyways I would have to call it a close one for your marks but if your supp can pull the weight, you got a good shot at early acceptance. Keep 92+ and you're definitely in by May. Good luck!

My first semester final average is 91 and I have fairly decent EC's (exec of two clubs, couple sports teams, involved in community work, +work experience at legal firm). As for my essays, I think they were pretty good. Any chance of me getting in first round? I've heard that I need at least a 92 but I'm still hoping :P Applied: Schulich BBA [Accepted] Laurier BBA [Accepted] Waterloo AFM-PA Mcmaster Business [Accepted] Rotman Commerce

So if you aren't accepted in March, does Schulich look at the April report card for May acceptances?

Those interim marks sent out in late April should provide a complete picture of your top six marks to admissions for evaluating your application and hopefully, sending an acceptance in May! Pawnee wrote:So if you aren't accepted in March, does Schulich look at the April report card for May acceptances? Yup :) That's what happened to me last year. I had 89.9% average in the first semester, so I didn't get the March acceptance. However, my average at the second mid term was 92.3% and I got in. PM if you have any questions with regards to school, university, jobs, etc. I am glad to help out and share what I know. My marks have already begun to slide because the teachers who were inflating them really only think in term of that second term report card. I have a 94.66% top six average with that report card, and a mediocre at best SAF, so I'm hoping I just squeak by in early acceptance before my marks fall too much :/

My set avg is now a 90.66% down from a 91 =_= and universities are gonna see those marks until the final marks transmission. the only hope left for me is to get an 93% in elearning. Stupid english. :@ The only good thing about this is that now my english mark cannot lower any more which probably will happened after my test today, so whatever. xD screw english. If I get rejected, it's all because of english cuz my other 5 courses are 91% or higher. =_=

Do you mean that universities will not be able to view the marks from our April report card?

Apparently so. Since my school guidance said they are not allowed to upload the progress marks in April, so we dont get any chance to update the marks..only after the finals...it sucks man....so right now it doesnt matter anymore...even tho right now my avg improved from 92 to 93, the school wont update those marks....

I'm actually kind of glad about that, personally. My marks have already begun to slide, and I'm sure the marks I submitted to OUAC will be higher than those on my April report card. But yeah, there doesn't seem to be an incentive to really improve if they can't view your updated marks :/

The 2nd term report card marks are already due and finalized, and the transmission IS in April. Even though there is a month gap, the schools are using the marks in the 2nd report for the April OUAC transmission...I talked to my guidance counsellor to make sure. Everything is set in stone right now. It sucks that we can't raise our marks, but on the bright side, it can't lower anyway. In my case, it lowered to 90.66% which is pissing me off, but I have elearning to bump it up. :S

Yeah, non-semestered are sending in the 2nd term report card which is already finalized. I dropped from 95.33 in term 1 to 94.5 to term 2. Can't really complain though with how much less effort I put in this term. Now I can RELAX
