Hi, I am looking to study in this field aswell. Concerning costs it will take you at least 6 years of university level schooling to become a licensed pharmacist in Canada and 8 years if you plan on studying in the USA. According to the University of Toronto (one of two universities in ontario which offer the BScPharm program) it will cost around $5,500 per year for tuition for your undergrad studies (which you will need two years) and then from your 3rd year until your sixth tuition runs upwards from $13,000.00 per year I believe. However, if you are concerned about costs-and I'm not sure if you are- the payoff of becoming a pharmacist well outweighs the student debt you may incurr.

Hoped this helped!

Hello,

Sorry I know this has nothing to do with your question, but I am in grade 12 and want to become a pharmacist in the future. However, I'm not sure if I should become a doctor instead.

If you don't mind answering, what made you choose pharmacy instead of being some other kind of doctor? And do you know if the rumours about phamacist salaries dropping by 2020 are true or not? Thanks!

Again, it takes 5 years to become a pharmacist...UBC, Alberta, Sask, among others accept students with 1 year of undergrad...
