Nope. They said stuff about late March, but last year's group started getting them around the 18th I think.

Not sure if this is helpful, but if you check your quest account, you can at least see if they rejected you or not on the application status.

Edit: "March 15th
Invitations to attend an Architecture interview begin to be sent."

keyword is begin... so invitations will also be sent out tomorrow i think.

Congrats!

My interview is on Monday, April 16, 2012 at 2:30pm.

That means it's on the first day. Hm. Is it better to do it earlier or later?

@krankd

Well, I had a 94 average, but, I'm sure if you had something like an 86, they'll still give you an interview offer. And let's not forget that they do take the AIF into account at this time.

Congratulations to everyone who got one so far, and like someone said they start sending them today so it doesn't necessarily mean you're not going to get one if you didn't receive yours yet.

Just got my invitation...needless to say HURRAH cheers ! I have no clue whether it's best to go earlier or later, hopefully that isn't of huge importance (but you never know). I'm currently scheming on how to make my interview go awesome.

Hmm... I would personally do mine later since you get the last impression. But if you're good, it wouldn't really matter. Whatever.

How's everybody's portfolios coming along?

Pretty good haha, I've completed all my pieces for the mail in portfolios (already sent to McGill, going to send to Carleton and Ryerson next week). I'm planning on working on a few more sketches in my book and canvases for Waterloo, I can't really bring in any sculptures because I'm going to be flying in from Alberta if I get an interview :P

How about you?

Well damn. I was snooping around last year's forums and there were a few who had their interviews on the first day and they all eventually got rejected.... ACK.

For my portfolio I have sketches, paintings, mixed media pieces, sculptures, a lamp fixture, and an installation

How about you guys? :-)

Whoa..that's intense.

Anyways lol. I have like 3 graphite drawings, 1 charcoal, 2 sculptures, 2 watercolour, and 2 acrylic.

Doesn't seem enough.bounce

@alexandrasiu OOO a lamp fixture? Interesting.

^ it's made of twigs and junk, don't know how interested they'd be in that...

and well, they also like to see your sketch books if you feel that you're not bringing enough things: http://www.architecture..../admissionsprocess.html

photography, and stuff related to the performance arts are encouraged as well.

I was wondering though, what do you talk about in regards to your portfolio? Do you critique your own work? Or simply state your ideas and thoughts behind each piece?

Lol...my sketchbook..

For the interview, I'm pretty sure you start of talking about your own work. After a while the interviewers just start asking random questions, and you've got a conversation :)
