Eeesh, the extra costs are piling up a bit more than I thought they would. Prices may vary depending on location but so far for U de M you've got the standard $250 registration fee, $140 deposit fee for residence, $75 for a monthly bus pass that will definitely be needed. Internet in residence is $75 for the 5 weeks, then $15 if you want to rent a fan which will be needed for the middle of summer. So there's $555 NOT INCLUDING the travel there. Granted you get the $140 back by Sept as well as $50 from the registration fee... and $325 for food which gives you back $515 all together. Just feels like SO much right now though. So much money to part with right now. Oh wellll.
Also, I'm presuming everyone got the same Registration Form in their emails (the one where they give you tiny little spaces for the letters.. that was annoying). Anyways, at the bottom of the page I'm confused. It says "In accordance with the Act respecting documents held by public bodies and the protection of personal information, I refuse (then there's a box to check) that information concerning me be transferred to persons of organizations listen in the document under Personal Information." Umm.. is that something I'm supposed to check off and sign for as well? I don't understand what that is about at all.

Also, I don't understand that part of the application either. Filling out those sheets is a pain.

I don't think they will be since everyone that will be attending will be over 18 anyway! I just hope we get plenty of time to ourselves because there is so much going on in the summer! :)

Hey guys, I'm waitlisted again this year. I was last year too though, and I got in on the 4th or 5th draw. (But I'm from BC, people from Ontario shouldn't hold their breath.) I have a friend going to La Poctiere this year and she was wondering if anyone had any feedback about the Grosse-Ile excursion. She's not sure if she wants to go. Let me know if you've been and have anything to say about it. Carleton University 2016 - Public Affairs and Policy Management

Also, she made a Facebook group for La Pocatiere http://www.facebook.com/groups/261937247232821/#!/groups/261937247232821/ If the link doesn't work, she says to search Explore 2012: La Pocatiere. Carleton University 2016 - Public Affairs and Policy Management

Anyone on the waitlist just get an email saying their application status was changed....but it actually wasn't? I looked at the group from last year, and apparently this just meant they changed your status to "waitlisted."
I almost had a heart attack, I was so happy, but then I found out it wasn't anything. This sucks. :(

This year was my first year applying, and I got into my first choice, College Saint-Charles-Garnier, for the summer session! I'm beyond excited. I've already chosen my excursions and everything, haha. The only thing I'm worried about is that I'm going without knowing anybody. I'm pretty shy, too. If anyone else who's going to the same place wants to talk before we go, that would be exceedingly awesome! My e-mail is rsutherland@ikokopelli.com.

To those who paid the registration online- did you get your email receipt right away? Whenever I purchase anything online I've always gotten the receipt right away, but the website said to wait up to 48 hours and I've never had purchases take so long. Wilfrid Laurier University BBA/BCS double degree- Class of 2018
