I was going to leave it at what was said because I know what I saw, but fine I think we can all agree that asking friends for criticism and to proofread is fine and should be absolutely encouraged. I disagree with offering to pay for ideas. Fxoqxc, if this truly is just some random like you say, then again I am sorry. I, along with friends who I've seen work hard on their apps are simply put off by the attitude of the poster (whoever it is) and wanted to bring out the fact that unfortunately this is happening. If the mods take down the images, well, I tried. Good luck uni students on your exams, and to everyone else I hope you get into whichever program you're hoping for. Moving on now, are the apps marked yet by both students and the faculty? The four week wait is really gonna fly by fast :P

On a side note....does everyone know when their midterms are getting sent out to universities, cause i think ours are getting sent around the week of the 22nd (which is next to next week) and i just wanna make sure if thatll be enough time for mac to consider my midterm marks or if they'll send out responses before even looking at them

DoctorGaga wrote:and i heard that mac responses come the first week of may! so that people can attend may @mac The first week of May seems to be the time they come out, but if it's like last year, it'll be towards the end of that first business week (i.e. the 4th). Or they might push it back a bit later because May at Mac is later this year. They went out May 6 (a Friday) last year and May at Mac was the 7th--this year May at Mac is the 12th. Of course this is just speculation. McMaster BHSc 2015

Your best bet would be to send a message to the BHSc offices--they'll be able to give you a better answer than anyone on here could. McMaster BHSc 2015

Just wondering does your average need to be 90%+ and have over a 90 in every class?

Brock University - Health Science [Accepted] McGill - Life Science [Accepted] McMaster - Life Science [Accepted] McMaster - Health Science [Rejected] Queens - Science [Accepted] Waterloo - Life Science [Accepted]

Im pretty positive that only your average needs to be 90+ and your individual marks dont make a difference because it doesnt specify that on their website.

I know this was probably said earlier, but how many applicants are accepted and how many apply in total? I just want to know how slim of a chance I have at getting in. Also, what program's would be your guys/girls backup plan be in the event that you did not get accepted into Mac Health Sci? McGill University - Chemical Engineering '16

160 are accepted out of 3000+ applicants (I think). My backup is Western Biomed! McMaster University 2016 Bachelor of Health Sciences

Agreed. The admission rate is about 5% every year, which, on the side note, is similar to universities like Harvard and Yale. (or so I heard)
My back up is Western Biomed and Queen's life sci

Number of applicants changes year to year, I think it was somewhere ~3000 (+) last year. Each year they send out the same number of offers (~200 or 250, I can't recall the exact number), it's the admission offer acceptance rate that varies. Last year's (i.e. my year's) class is the largest yet, not because of more offers but because of more acceptances. McMaster BHSc 2015

If we send in our mid term transcripts, will they automatically recalculate our average or do we have to be in contact with someone from the program? The only thing is I didn't have grade 12 Biology when I applied so i'm assuming they based it off of my grade 11 and my grade 12 mid term will be higher. McGill University - Chemical Engineering '16

Apologies, I actually am in Health Sciences, first year and as such it wasn't fair of me to fake my acceptance etc. BUT LOOSEN UP GUYS! IF I SEE ANOTHER "HEALTH SCIENCES IS MY LIFE BLAH BLAH BLAH" (and if it is, your life consists of reflection, pizza, group meetings, and lots of drama) I WILL FIND YOU AND GET YOU SO CRUNK ON *ahem* what is supposed to be the Best Night of Your Life that EFRT will have to haul you back.
