I have applied to electrical engineering at UofT. My first semester average was amazing but my second semester was really tough and it dropped me. What are my chances of getting into UofT electrical engineering.

Advanced Functions: 91
English.............85
Calculus............83
Physics.............80
Chemistry...........73
Other U course......95

Average: 84.5% average with top 6

Average: 82.4% average with top 5( which is what I heard Uoft Uses to calculate admission averages.

So Do you think I will get in to UofT electrical engineering? Because I am seriously thinking of private schooling Chemistry.

You will have to wait to find out. Not only does it depend on marks but also on who your competition is, your ECs and their relevance to the program, etc. All I can say is that last year, the admission average was 89% for engineering. Good luck on the admissions process!

I highly doubt if you can get in, I know how these guys are saying people can get into U of T engineering with 85average, but I got rejected with 86 so.... I'm not saying you don't have shot but I think you should probably thinking abut other schools as well
I saw a paper that has all cut off marks and mean marks for admission but lost the link,,,,
University of Toronto: Chemical Engineering --- Rejected...was 1st choice
University of Toronto: Computer Science --- Accepted (April 19th)
University of Waterloo: Chemical Engineering --- Accepted (April 7th)
McGill University: Electrical, Computer & Software Engineering --- Accepted. (Mar 12th)
University of Calgary: Engineering--- Accepted. (Mar 13th)

I got into Western, Ryerson, UOIT, and Carelton all of which for engineering. Most are undeclared engineering. This was all in first semester. Should I be worrying too much about my last two acceptances UofT and Waterloo. I know that I am not going to Waterloo, and UofT is really difficult I heard. But I want to raise my average. Should I take Chem in P skool.
Grade 12 is really stressful. Also Computer engineer, do you mind sharing your marks as well?

i'm from alberta so they only looked at my 5courses i think
I got 85 on chem&physics, 90 on calculus, 86 on math, and 80 on english

I think I had a good spf but my grade 11 marks are really bad
they are like at high 60s-low 70s
so... stay positive

Maelong is your math-- advanced functions? Just wondering.
So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor and catch the trade winds in your sails.

I believe the cutoff last year was around 85.4. SO aim for 87+ just to be safe. Good marks in chemistry and math helps.
