Hi there! I was accepted to the Arts and Contemporary Studies program at Ryerson a few weeks ago. This program was my second choice, and I have yet to hear back from Radio and Television.

I have accepted the offer to Arts and Contemporary Studies for the meantime.

Has anyone else heard from Arts and Contemporary Studies? If so, are you accepting too? And of course, for anyone who is currently in the program, or if you have any other information to share, any insight or information would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

So, has anyone else heard from this program?

If you're in Ryerson right now, how big are the class sizes for first year?

Thanks!

I'm in second year Criminal Justice at Ryerson so I would be in the same faculty as you for ACS. I don't know much about the ACS program, I've never heard of such a program since this year. The first year for arts is so basic so I would have many similar classes that you may have. The sizes for the classes usually depends on the course your taking, for more general courses like Intro to Psychology and Critical Thinking (you will learn to hate that class), they were a lot larger around minimum 100 to 300 max. But tutorials theres only 20 people, so its really good for asking questions, take advantage of that. Then there are other courses that are usually around 60 to 80 people. Overall Ryersons class sizes are smaller compared to other universities, but in my opinion that is a very good advantage, the profs are ALWAYS encourging you to see them before, after and during thier office hours, and I didnt feel as intimidated as I would walking into a lecture hall of thousands. I also heard alot of good things about RTA, that definitly seems like a fun program. Good luck on whatever choices your gonna make! (:

Thank you so much for that valuable information! I have heard that Ryerson's class sizes are somewhat smaller than other universities, and I'm looking forward to it! I'm excited to be starting. At first, I had some doubt, but I am hearing really good things. I've still yet to hear from RTA.

Cheers,

Kabir
