Hi guys, I just started reading this post and its making me quite nervous because i applied to the iBBA program at schulich, and it looks like most of you guys have a higher average than me. Just wanted your opinion if you guys think i can make it in Schulich iBBA or not, and when should i expect an offer of admission or rejection?

Advance functions - 96%
Calculus - 97%
Economics - 90%
Data management - 93%
Communication Technology - 93%
and then comes the sad part
English - 81%

Overall average - 91.67%

What do you guys think my chances are?

I think your average is definitely competitive. As you say, I think English is/was holding them back slightly -but as long as it's above their minimum for english (which I forget what it was, 75% or 80%?) then you should be fine :) just hang in there!
Laurier BBA 2016

What did I apply to before? (no order):

Schulich iBBA [Accepted]
Queen's [Wait Listed]
Ivey w BMOS and Psych [Accepted]
Waterloo AFM (interviewed for Fellowship) [Accepted]
McGill -Immunology & Microbiology [Accepted]
Guelph -Food & Hotel Mngmnt. [Accepted]

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

You can do this at the end of your first year, if you meet all requirements to complete the 1st year. However, I wouldn't really advice you to change this. It's a great program and no one ever regretted having the opportunity to go on exchange.

How come you want to switch? You can PM me about it. :)
PM if you have any questions with regards to school, university, jobs, etc. I am glad to help out and share what I know.

Some people received offers in the beginning of June, so it's still possible that the offer is still coming. :)

Can anyone tell me how long should i wait more?

I have applied to Schulich IBBA program

got an alternate offer from B.A.S Marketing

i have an average of 92.1% (including my mid-term)

here are my marks:

MHF4U(Advanced Functions): 92 <- Those two courses were taken in summer
LKD4U(Language Course: Korean) : 94 <-

MCV4U (Calculus and Vectors) : 98 <- Day School Midterm
ENG4U (English) : 84
CIA4U (Economics): 90
BBB4M (International Business) 95 <- Midterm, taken at night school

I also took MDM4U (Data Management) even though it's not one of my top 6 marks

I also have a pretty good supplementary (worked at a restaurant, math tutors at a community, homework club, school library, School Band, etc)

I just cannot be patient anymore :( i cannot sleep well at night

i got an alternate offer in April .... but my schulich status still says "no decision"

does anyone know how long i should have to wait more? :(

Don't take that wrong, accept another offer before. Because I think if you don't accept an offer before + let's say you don't get schulich, you are screwed. It would be hard to convince them to let you accept and come in since you passed the deadline.

the thing is, there are people with amazing grades, and these guys have been accepted into every good university. But, they will only end up going to one university. So, once they make their choices there will be more seats open in that university. So they will start sending more acceptances after june first.

and i think if you want to reject your current offer and accept schulich or ivey, then i would first call schulich or ivey and have them reserve a seat for you, then you can reject the other program you accepted.

this is what i think will probably happen

I disagree. This is not the case. They will send out more acceptances than seats available, based on the previous year's projections. They will only perhaps send out more if there is a significant change in response this year compared to previous years. They also don't mind if they get a little under what is expected or a little above it. For example, class of 380, they don't mind if they get 360 or 400, but something like 340 might require a few more acceptances to be sent out. I don't think it would ever go to something like 440, as in that case they would most likely have to decline the last accepted.

So - acceptances may not be handed out after June 1st, but there can always be a few, who knows.

And I don't understand what you said about "reserving a seat" - you can't do that, you accept on OUAC..

If you have UNBELIEVABLE ECs and can write great essays, you might get in with this average. However, it is pretty low otherwise for this program.
