I'm curious to see other peoples' schedules.

Also, comment on why you structured your schedule the way you did.

I'll post up mine in a bit.

Follow these step-by-step instructions on how to view your schedule:

1. Log into the LORIS system.
2. Student Services > Registration > Add or Drop Classes > Class Search.
3. On the bottom, click "Week at a Glance".

I know this question has been asked a million times in the past (and will likely be asked a million times again in this thread, let alone in the distant future), but my memory isn't what it once was. How do you upload pictures of your schedule again, furthermore, how do you see your schedule in a chart/timetable form?

Wait, you're going to Laurier after being accepted to Ivey AEO and AFM-FM with a Fellowhip interview? Why, just out of curiousity?

oh boy. I should have a copy and paste for this :P

Well basically why I ruled out Ivey (no offense meant to any ivey-ers -it's a great school which deserves its rep.):

1. no coop. coop gives you the network, as well as experience, as well as money, and most importantly, GREAT chances for a job after uni. Ivey provides you with the people, but to actually build that network when you don't work with them/see them on a day to day basis is, I think, much harder; -especially when they are top exec people (which is a main reason for ivey's rep) who have much better things to do than go look for uni grads (thus they wait for uni grads to come to them and stand out). Also i think that getting that internship or summer job relies too much on luck and the connections parents have to be worth it.

In my opinion, experience trumps school any day.

2. atmosphere. I went to western and ivey open house; LOVED western and its students, but as soon as I walked into ivey, I knew it wasn't the right place for me. I like competition and ambition, but the vibe ivey gave me of those two I don't think I could reciprocate (and thus I wouldn't fit in) or live in.

3. Ivey brand name (or the brand name from any good B-school) is in my opinion much more relevant to an MBA. if an employer has to decide between a 22 yr old from ivey (mba and hba basically do the exact same things,so lets assume the 22 yr old knows as much as an mba-er ivey-wise) and a 27 yr old who also did ivey mba but has 4-5 yrs experience under his belt and a good undergrad, for a managerial position (because it's what ivey trains their students for), who do you think they'll choose? I bet on the 27 yr old.

Why not AFM? this was tough:

1.I applied to FM (because I'm not set on accounting) but apparently the big advantage AFM carries translates mostly to PA.

2. Not sure about the accounting. I always thought (and still do) that it's best to understand the fundamentals first (and accounting is "the language of business" according to loo -which I agree with). However, if I really dont like the accounting focus, then I don't have much maneuvering room. Also, laurier is tied with afm for first place in terms of most gold medals on the UFE exams -so if I do choose accounting, I'm still good.

3. Coop jobs at laurier are much more diverse, (and I can still apply to CA/CATO jobs if I like), which for me is imperative as I'm completely open to any business field (aka I have no idea what I want to do), and so I want the opportunity to try different kinds of jobs/fields instead of being limited to only finance or accounting (especially).

4.International Exchange. No can do at waterloo, and for me it's really important.

5. Loved the atmosphere at Laurier. Also love love loved the residences.

I just made a table in word, used snipping tool (app on windows) to take a jpg of it. then went on imageshack.com and uploaded it.

I know on LORIS if you go on class search, at the bottom of the page, there's an option to see "week view". If you make the date to during the winter (feb 23, 2013 or something) it should show you your schedule for both terms. (this didn't work for me though, heard it from a friend).

Wildsong, it's refreshing to see someone decide on a program based on their own feelings and not on reputations and other people's opinions.

And welcome to Laurier! You're going to have a great time!

You don't need to worry about the 51 hours yet. You'll take the courses for an accounting concentration in your upper years. If you have questions then, you can ask the academic advisers and they can help you.
