Hey guys,
I'm currently waiting for a response from UofT St. George. I applied for Life Sciences. Its already approaching late May and I still have not received a response. My top six marks including prerequisites are as follows:
English 80 Calculus 75 Biology 82 Physics 81 Music 97 Music 91
Average 84.3
In addition, I also wrote about my many volunteer experiences in the Victoria College application such as organizing a fundraiser involving six highschools that raised $2400 for First Nations charities and reading to kids every Saturday at the library.
Will I receive an offer based on these credentials?
PS: In March, UofT St. George gave Life Science offers to people at my high school who had 90+ averages. After that, nobody heard anything. Will we be hearing from UofT St. George soon?
Worried as hell..........

I'm on the same boat as you, except I applied for social sciences. I got an alternate offer from UTSC, but I didn't apply there. I applied to UTSG Victoria College and I currently have slightly over an 86% top 6. **Shields** Accepted: University of Toronto: Social Sciences + Vic One (Pearson Stream) Carleton University: Honours Science University of British Columbia: Arts

I'm worried as hell as you. I also have a 84.3 and applied for Life Sciences at UTSG and heard nothing. http://cudo.utoronto.ca/2011/index.php
According to that we should be fine but I'm being skeptical now . . . >.<

All my friends who applied to lifesci at UTSG had 90+ averages. Congratulations on getting in, but I'm pretty sure they do the different areas of study differently. I wish I knew who recently got into lifesci in one of the most recent waves or even slightly recent and what average they had =/

Just got refused with over an 88 average o_O My school isn't a mark farm, nor are any of my marks below its 75 minimum. However I did apply late so that could play an issue.. University of Toronto (SC) Neurosciences Co-op

Same, I just found out today. I applied to Victoria College in social sciences and my average was over 86 for second term, almost 90 first term. I got an alternate offer to UTSC though...I'm still shocked although my English mark was pretty bad, I have a 70 final in ENG4U :( **Shields** Accepted: University of Toronto: Social Sciences + Vic One (Pearson Stream) Carleton University: Honours Science University of British Columbia: Arts

I got into UTSG last week with a 90+ average.
From the people I know and have talked to, there seem to be a few general guidelines when accepting students:
4U English has to be above 80. 4U Calculus has to be above 80. Average of marks has to be at least 86+ with no easy courses (such as music or drama).
My top six were: English, calculus, data management, chemistry, biology and french immersion psychology. There are exceptions but most people who get accepted fit that criteria.
