If you make it boring it will be, but yeah business is pretty dry, and accounting is the worst at that.

Only if you want it to be. If you're interested in getting a designation (CGA, CA, CMA) you can pursue an accounting/finance career in whatever you're interested in. Not all accountants work in typical roles. http://bit.ly/LTlt6x

It depends on what type of job it is (see the CGA post), as well as the type of person.

I know people who find finance boring as fudge, yet or others there's no more exciting thing.

To the general, public accounting is quite boring and repetitive.
