I really can't decide whether to go to Laurier or Brock. I'm leaning a bit towards Laurier because 2 of my friends are going to wateloo but I think that it might be too hard and difficult to get Co-op. However, Brock guarantees co-op to all first year students and their BAcc is focused solely on accounting. But i feel that Brock isn't as widly recoganised as Laurier. Is that true? And is Laurier's BA economics harder than Brocks BAcc? Also, does brock's courses have special GPA requirements like Lauriers? (in laurier you need to get a 7 in major courses with an overall of 6) does Brock have the same thing or if it that you just need a 60% overall?

Brock doesn't guarantee anything!!! I don't know why people make this mistake. Brock's accounting program is a co-op program which means you don't have to apply separately for it like you have to at Laurier. But you still have to get good marks to get a co-op position at brock. The 100% percent they advertise is for students in their 3rd or 4th work term which is extremely biased because if you didn't get a work term by then, then you are demoted to the bacc without co-op. As for difficultly I'm pretty sure both programs are in the same level. But upper years for economics might be challenging. I know a friend who chose laurier econ over brock accounting because he wants to swtich into the bba program after first year. And yes laurier does have special gpa requirements. I don't want you to think I'm hating on brock. I was about to go there and was extremely excited aswell. If you are set on accounting I would rank it up there with waterloo's afm program. P.S. Generally business it is Laurier > Brock, but for accounting it is close Wilfrid Laurier: Honours Business Administration Class of 2016

to be completely honest, it wont make a big difference which one you choose especially if you plan on doing graduate studies afterwards ( designations). Both Laurier and Brock are well known for their business programs and both programs that you have been accepted to have coop, which is great. Whether you apply for coop second year or are guranteed coop, you have to work hard either way. If you want to stay in coop, then you gotta work hard, if you want coop second year, then you have to work hard. Visit both places and see what you are more comfortable with and go from there. Imo the program at Brock is better but your overall experience might be a bit better at Laurier especially if you know a couple people going there. Either degree gives you all the credits for your CA if you plan to do so its really up to you.

Look at the degree's face value. Laurier > Brock by a screwing mile.
