Do you guys think it's better to go to prom alone or not at all? Or should I just ask someone that I'm pretty sure will say yes for the sake of having a date?

I can't wait for prom. I got the dress of my dreams and the guy, who I've liked for a year now, asked me to prom! Woot. Going to be a blast!

At my school our 'prom' isn't until May/June. We have two ceremonies and a 'dry grad' option (alcohol/drug free). I'm excited to graduate and have a special night to remember it.

My best advice: don't set your expectations too high. Prom is pretty much just like any other semi-formal just crazily hyped up. Just have fun, enjoy it and don't stress cause it'll be over before you know it.
Also, don't have sex on prom night, it's trashy.

Why do most girls cry over missing prom because of a certain circumstance, say a soccer game...? I don't understand how it is something you must attend before you die kinda thing...Is it just tradition?

Prom is way too expensive. And so catty.
And no teachers are coming from our school as it is not a school event. Thus, it will be very very sketchy.
