Really depends on what you want. Keep in mind most scholarships are for the 4 years, so it requires you to maintain an certain average or you lose it for the year. EG: If U Ottawa offers you $16 000 for four years and you don't keep a 8.5 CGPA, you will lose $4000 every year until you get that back, which might not be as easy.

I'd go for the better program, especially if you are choosing between schools that are outside of your home town. A few thousand dollars isn't THAT much (it is a lot though) compared to the around 20K you will spend a year living away from home.

Too many variables to give a definitive answer, as previous posters have pointed out. Although I will say that it can't be a good long-term plan to study something you really hate just because of financial incentives, you're trading 4 years for your remaining working life there.

Definitely the program. You have to think of what you want, not what would be easier. I could get full tuition at Nipissing but that is the last place I want to go to. For me, I would rather get the best education ever over having it all paid for. But i guess it's a matter of perspective for others.

Take the course you're intrested in. Why waste your time and money? You'll do better too if you cater to your interests, not the easy way out just for now.

People have ignored the fact that during their university years, if their marks are good enough, they could get scholarships. So, let's say the program you get into offers you no scholarship, you decide to go to that as opposed to going to a program that offered you a ton of money, and you work your *** off, end up getting at least 80 average, I believe that the institution will grant you some amount, even if it is just a thousand bucks.
