I'm a second year student at McGill, studying economics and management. I'm applying to transfer into the Ivey HBA program at Western. Any suggestions about the admissions there? I have a mid 70 average here after first year, and i'm hoping to crack the 80% line this year. My EC's are : McGill Investment club, McGill entrepreneurship society, McGill Pre-Law society, Campus Vacations marketing team member, Global Young Leaders Conference (china), People-to-People leadership summit at Stanford, tons of high school sports, hospital volunteering. My work experience is as a Bank Teller at Scotiabank, and i'm also the co-owner of an Investment firm, of which i've grown the firm's portfolio to roughly $45,000 using my own funds and investments. Next may i'm going to Shanghai for a month-long internship for management consulting. My references are very strong I feel.
I know thats a lot of info, do I have any chance? or will my EC's not matter if I don't have a great academic average?
any input is great, thanks alot
