I know that St. Paul has a living learning community, but I'd also like to have an all girls floor, and I don't know if St. Paul has that. Do they? How is it compared to REV and V1? To my knowledge St. Pauls does not have an all girls floor. It has a french floor, but no gender specific floors. St. Jeromes, which is right next to St. Pauls, has an all girls residence (called Sweeney Hall), my best friend is hoping to get in there. As for REV and V1, REV is really only good if you want that classic university roomate experience. I do not want that at all, there's no privacy in a double room. V1 used to be my first choice, because I like the possibility of a single room, but the interconnecting rooms turned me off right away. You're separated, but you're either walking through someone elses room to get to yours, or you're having someone walk through your room to get to theirs! I think that's ridiculous. I think there is the occasional traditional double room in V1 as well. V1 seems to have a good atmosphere though, and it separates it's floors by gender. So if each wing has three floors, it may be female, male, female. (the floors alternate). So that may be what you're looking for. University of Waterloo Environment and Business Class of 2017

Oh so REV only offers double room? Would you say the living learning community helps a lot in university? I'm trying to consider which one's more important, the living learning community, or same gender floors. Hhhhmmm. Applied to:

Hey guys I got accepted too for Waterloo Environment and Business last Thursday and was wondering if you guys understand. Faculty of Environment Program / Award Range of scholarship Criteria All programs $1,000 for one year * Early May admission average of 80% to 84.9% All programs $500 for one year * Early May admission average of 85% to 89.9% * To be awarded in addition to the Merit Scholarship of $1,000 * Students above 90% will receive a President's Scholarship Does that mean we get 1k scholarship if our avg is 80-84.99% or we have to maintain till final average? By the day do we have a facebook group for 2016 and Hope to see you all there in Spetember ^^ University of Waterloo: Environment and Business( Co-op) graduating class of 2017

To the residence question: To my knowledge REV only has double rooms, I'd say go look it up :) I think the Living Learning Community would be way more help in first year. Where else are you going to find people ALL THE TIME who are doing the same work as you and can help you? And there's older students in the same program to help you, and there's a lecture hall IN RESIDENCE that apparently a lot of first year classes are held in. You'll always have someone to go to class with too, because you live with so many people in the program. To the person who hasn't got accepted yet, hold tight! I'm sure it's coming, check Quest and keep looking in that mailbox ;) To the person with the scholarships......I have no idea but I was wondering the same!!! Did the scholarship offer come with your admission offer? I got my letter a while ago so I don't know if I'll get a separate letter in the mail about scholarships. I think you have to keep you grades up through until the end of the year. So keep studying, I guess? :P There toally should be a facebook group, if there isn't someone should tell the environment people and they should make one for us :D lol University of Waterloo Environment and Business Class of 2017

Your scholarship is based on mid-May averages. As long as your final average isn't below the required mark for your course, you will receive whatever your mid-May average is valued at. If you have any more questions, I've done way more research than necessary about everything--from residences to scholarships to conditions. Just ask! Also, I read on Waterloo's website that the majority of their admission offers are sent out mid-may, so for anyone who hasn't been accepted yet, sit tight and don't fret :) University of Waterloo Environment and Business Class of 2017

Are you guys going to do Res at St. Paul. I am deciding whether REV or St. Paul. I heard you can interact and meet more people at REV but St. Paul would most benefit the people studying the faculty of environment. I am still not sure of the social life for St. Paul. How about you guys? University of Waterloo: Environment and Business( Co-op) graduating class of 2017

St. Pauls all the way :) I would rather do well in first year than party like crazy, it's more worth the 18 thousand dollars I have to pay for this :P University of Waterloo Environment and Business Class of 2017

Some people, including myself, got offered Geomatics instead of Computer Science, so there might be a few "Geomatic-CS Rejects" going for UW Env. ;) University of Guelph Software Engineering, 2016
Applications (for Fall 2012): University of Waterloo - Computer Science (Alternate offer to Geomatics, May) University of Guelph - Software Engineering (Accepted, March) Carleton University - Computer Science: Game Development (Accepted, February) Carleton University - Interactive Multimedia and Design (Accepted, March) The University of Western Ontario - B.Sc. Computer Science (Cancelled application)
First semester (mixed w/ grade 11 marks) average: low-mid 80s (82-84%) Second semester midterm average: 81.33%

I'm going for Atmospheric Science at Waterloo next year and that's about as close to the environment you can get within the Faculty of Science! I'll be staying in the LLC at REV first year but am considering St. Pauls for second year - anybody know how early you have to apply? There aren't a lot of pure environmental courses I'll be taking in my first year though, nearly all math and science! Hopefully I can get a wide range of electives, as I enjoy taking a multifaceted view, even though I only get one in first year. As for course selection, that starts around July 9th IIRC, and the courses will show up as successful when they're not full.
