I did the mail in, haven't heard anything from them yet. I'm not sure if I would even go in to it if i was accepted, we'll see though! Wow you got in really early! On the ryerson site it says that they send out offers in late april! Congrats again! University of Waterloo Civil Engineering 2017

Hi there, I would say that no, having sent in your documents late does not matter :) I dropped off my portfolio two days before the deadline (cutting it really close yep) but I heard from them on March 26 So not much else to do but wait for now :) good luck!

Thanks for the reassurance arz90! AND CONGRATS! :-)
krankd, Ryerson is actually a very good alternate choice from McGill. Of course I would love (to die even) to go to McGill, but Ryerson's program is great too if what you really want to do is architecture. Some undergraduates from Ryerson go to Harvard and Yale to do their Masters! I forgot where I read about that or else I would link it to you but I don't think it's a bad program at all, if that's what makes you unsure about going?

McGill has different acceptance dates for students from different provinces/countries because of the different school systems and when midterm grades are available. No worries! Congrats on your Ryerson acceptance! I have a cousin in first year there for architecture and she absolutely loves it :) McGill Architecture 2015

Hi guys! I am a BC student applying for architecture this year, and I have self-reported my grades; they then asked me to upload my transcripts and I did that...so my status changed into Further Review Required and it is now been 2 weeks since I submitted my transcripts online but still I've heard nothing... Was anybody else from BC required to upload your transcripts? If yes, did any of you hear back from McGill since then? Thanks!

Thank you SiobhanE! :-D I'm kind of confused with the midterm thing, now that you've mentioned it. Did you go to a semester-ed school? Because midterms come out mid-april for me, but on the site they say interim grades for Ontario applicants are due April 10th? I'll ask my counselor tomorrow but would you know anything about this? XmasEveGal: I'm an Ontario student myself so I can't be of much help sorry. But I googled around and found this: http://www.studentawards...aspx?g=posts&t=1665 <- maybe you can PM them and ask?

@TheXMasEveGal,
Hey! I'm from BC too! Are you on a 3 term year for school? Because if so would you know whether I have to self report both terms grades if I have them or just term 2 grades because they are my most recent? Or did you give them the average of two terms?

Yea, I was on a semestered system and I think my midterm grades were posted in late March-early April.. Ask your counsellor, but they get uploaded automatically through OUAC. McGill Architecture 2015

I asked her today and she simply said that they have to wait for it, since my school's mid-terms are due April 16th. So I was like really? Isn't that past the deadline? But she said it shouldn't be a problem. I'm still kind of concerned though. It's too late to call McGill now but I'll definitely do so tomorrow. :l
To Ontario applicants: has your mid-terms been submitted to OUAC already? Or do you know when yours will be?

I'm from BC and I applied to McGill last year, but they never asked me for any transcripts whatsoever since technically, the BC education board is responsible for providing mcgill your official grades (I mailed in a copy of my official transcript from school myself nonetheless just to get my ass covered, although I doubt they looked at it). They might have changed the requirements this year, but it just seems a bit strange if they started asking for transcripts from students now. McGill Architecture 2015

carbonicanhydrase wrote:Hey SiobhanE (or anyone else really),
I was wondering about self-reporting marks for McGill - as a BC student who is on a 3 term school year, I have to self report marks for the first two terms. Does this mean that I provide McGill an individual mark for each of my courses for both terms or an average of the two terms? I just find this really confusing and would love some advice/answers :) I was wondering the same thing last year, and I ended up self-reporting just my term 1 grades on Minerva, then sent in an official transcript later on with updated grades because I was anxious about mcgill not receiving my term 2 grades (whether they actually looked at those grades was another question though). In any case, do NOT to take the average of two terms, because then the grades you reported may not match the official ones sent by your school later. But yeah it was super confusing. I hope they will make their guidelines clearer next year so that no one has to go through all the what-if-my-school-failed-to-send-in-grades paranoia again. McGill Architecture 2015

SiobhanE and youstoppedmakingsense: do you guys know anything about this year's admission process? is it any different from previous years? (sorry...just ignore me...i'm being an extremely impatient woman at the moment)
and has anyone else heard anything yet? I'm betting now that I probably won't hear back until May, since they have only received 4 final marks from me; and my 2nd semester mid-terms will be sent in late-April. oh the agony.

I heard about them last Friday... and I got accepted! I'm from Quebec CEGEP so I'll be entering u1. By the way I found a really nice apartment and I'm looking for a roommate... I don't want to hijack this forum with an housing ad, so send me a personal message if interested. Best of luck to those who are still waiting, I know how painful it is!

^Thanks! :-)
By the way, there's no indicated deadline date shown on my application. Should I just assume that it's June 1st as well?
