This coming June, I will be qualified to teach Secondary Music (grades 7-12) as well as Elementary!
This is such an amazing feeling - I have wanted to be a teacher all my life and to say that I am on my way to doing my "dream job" is so great.
It's awesome to see so many teachers-to-be and aspiring teachers!!
cheers

I did work experience at a local elementary school.
After that I became obsessed with teaching elementary school kids! They're so entertaining hahaha.

I would teach choir in high school. History and ESL would also be amazing. (Pretty much the fun classes...)

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.

High school music (already have a B.A. in that) and English (working on getting certified to teach that). I think it's better to have at least a couple of teachables, because at some schools they have leftovers, and as a starting teacher, that's what you may get, and if they can't find one teacher to teach both the subjects, they will just hire two part-time teachers -- not good for either teacher. But it's nice to be able to teach a diverse schedule too...or you might get one or the other of your teachables. Either way, you're more marketable!

I would love to teach World Issues, Geography, Environmental Studies or just social studies in general. I would choose these as my teachable because the new generation of students need to be aware in order to be sustainable and eco-aware.

I think that teaching high school level chemistry or biology would be the most interesting because there's so you can do with those subjects and yes, you have a cirriculum, but in science it's easy to go beyond the bare requirements of teaching and actually get your students really engaged.

Don't be discouraged - core French prepares you for the emphasis on grammar that university has. Immersion students didn't seem nearly as prepared. I got a 94 in first year French with a class average in the low to mid 60s.

I'm not even sure I want to be a teacher...
But I'd like to teach high school French Immersion and history. :) I'm in French immersion and it's really fun, especially since our class is so close!
