I would like to thank all of those in my life who have been supportive of me during my educational career. My academic accomplishments can't be attributed to any one person but instead distributed to all the people who influence me to strive for success. Whether it be my parents, brothers, girlfriend or friends I would like to send a thanks to all of you for your significant parts in my life.

To a person of many hats, teacher, staff adviser for different committees, and chaperon for many events, including a trip to Ecuador. Julie MacNeil has been a force to be reckoned with for the past four years I have known her. She manages to do all of the above, plus be a member of community fire and search and rescue teams. On our trip to Ecuador she made everyone feel welcome to our group. She also travels with the Respect ED group quite frequently to other schools in the area for presentations focusing around bullying prevention, and is a strong supporter of the Rotary Interact club, which she also finds time to supervise. In addition to all of the above, she teaches French classes, including Géo planitaire, and IB geography! She has been a great role model and inspiration during my tome in high school, always willing to help out where needed, whether helping plan events, or writing reference letters!

I would like to send a heartfelt thank you to my high school math teacher Paul Janke.

More important than the math skills he taught me, he taught me the value of hard work, and that effort pays off.
Before Mr. Janke, I didn't study or take school seriously. Now, I have gone from a student who failed her math 11 final, to a student with the highest mark in her university calculus class.

Mr. Janke! To you, I owe my improved work ethic and love for education. Thanks!

Thank you, Mr. Walker, at St. Francis High school, for teaching more than just Math, but about how to succeed in life. You taught me that you can't do something once and expect to be perfect at it, and that blaming other people for your problems isn't going to make the problem go away. Thanks, Mr. Walker, for all your words of wisdom =)

There are tons of people who walk into my life everyday, and i'm glad you did in grade 8.

Mr. Irani, i thank you for being the best coach, teacher, and friend to me for the last 5 years. My high school life would not have been the same without you, THANK YOU. you've changed me, for the better, and taught me more things any textbook ever could have.

I want to say a sincere Thank You to my Visual Arts teacher Mr. Lisson at John Paul II High School.
You have taught me not only how to create art, but how to appreciate it, to think for myself and to never give up. It is because of you that I have strived to do better as an artist and as a person.

When you introduced me to the visual arts in all its forms, learning all the different techniques, styles and artists, I found my passion. With that passion to create art, you showed me how to appreciate other works, to find and understand its meanings, and how to see things from another perspective. I have learned to brainstorm ideas about new artworks to complete, to paint landscapes on-sight and to find inspiration anywhere I go. In all your different teaching methods, as a unique artist, as well as a teacher, you have showed me that no matter what, I cannot give up. In addition, you also told me that there will be people I meet who will love and hate my artworks, but I must stand tall and proud, and accept that everyone has different opinions. You taught me that I cannot give in to changing myself, or my style for others, but that I must be comfortable with myself and accepting of whatever life throws at me.

I want to say Thank You, again, for five of the best years of my life, in experiencing art in all its wonder and amazement. You have certainly left a lasting impression on me, and I will never forget all that you have taught me. You are my favourite teacher and I hope that I will make you proud in all my future endeavours.
Thank You, Mr. Lisson, for sharing all your wisdom, experience, creativity, and passion with me.

Sincerely,

Katie

Dr. Melissa Brasgold,
(Professor of Gerontology at the University of Ottawa)

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support this past year. I was given a volunteer opportunity to experience first-hand, a career I felt was a suitable fit for myself after graduation. Fortunately, you were more than understanding when I discussed how this would conflict with my class schedule. Thanks to your support, I was able to complete the class AND the volunteer opportunity, which permitted supervising healthcare professionals on the job, and communicating with patients in the hospital environment.

In addition, the classes you teach allow students to branch out away from multiple choice tests, and onto beneficial varieties of assignments. It was through your classes that I wrote papers relevant to my field of study, and gave my first oral presentation of post-secondary school. It was through these opportunities that I was able to broaden my educational background, and to grow as a person. For these, I would like to thank you.

-Samantha

Dear Ms. Cora-Lee,

as my teaching assistant you elevated my ability to look beyond what was required as something that was merely mandatory. For the first time in my undergraduate degree I was encouraged to look at course content as being directly relevant to my life. That is not to say that university has not profoundly changed my perspective on the world, but your guidance, advice, and pure joy for my developed world politics class inspired me in ways that writing alone seems to constrict my ability to express how I feel.

Simply put, thank you is not enough. You are what the educational system is about. You inspire your students, engage in the hard hitting questions, and make us revaluate why we chose to partake in higher learning in the first place. Any recommendation that I could give would be insufficient. May you be successful in all that you do, and hopefully, may you continue influencing people like me on a daily basis. Your attitude is uplifting, and as a result, my own attitude has dramatically changed. My degree is not something that is limiting...it opens doors. It breeds opportunity.

Although it may not be enough, thank you seems to be the most elaborate summation of my gratitude for all the hard work you put into our class this year.

Best wishes,

Anthony Deluca

I want to say a thank you to my mentor teacher, Joanne Jarema-Johnson, during my introductory professional term this semester.

I was about to drop out of my program but she gave me the confidence to continue my practicuum. She helped me to grow during my student teaching experience and she has made me believe that I have the potential to be a good teacher too!

I would to thank my Criminology T.A Marc Sinclair for the best first year.

He showed me that there is more to school than just hard work and dedication, that there is also the foundations of building a personality and a future. He encouraged me to participate in every event possible and to grow from the experiences that are brought forth during those events, which may help in my future aspirations and help develop other skills. Nonetheless, he showed me that we are only people but if we put our minds to something and strive towards it, we can and will make it happen.

Thank you for an exceptional year and for the many life and school lessons!

I would like to say thank you to my high school French teacher of four years, Mr.Goodridge. He has been a teacher to my two older brothers in high school too. Throughout the years, Mr.Goodridge has been understanding to not only mine but other students positions. I have had some struggles at times in my family and he genuinely cares about the students well being, even if he can't do anything to help. Such a thoughtful and funny teacher. When he wants to gather the class's attention, he yells out something funny instead telling us to shut up. He also tells us funny stories of him in his youth being chased by a homeless man while riding on his bike. One time, my friend showed him a picture on her blackberry curve and he pressed on the screen with his finger really hard thinking it was touch screen! It was so funny because of how he pressed it and how he thought it was touch screen! Mr.Goodridge has some really funny moments and stories.

Who: Gregory Peres (French T.A.)
What they taught me: Gregory inspired me to continue on in French. Talking with him really improved my French language skills and gave me a better appreciation for French culture. He also inspired me to apply for an international exchange to France for my third year!

Thank you!

I would like to thank my math teacher for the past two years at CDCI East highschool, Mr. Caister. I would like to take this time to thank you for your passion helping your students be sucessful. These past two years in math class have been very difficult for me, but you were always able to aid us, and although you made math class very challenging it was also very rewarding in that now ALL of us have become so much stronger in a subject that is otherwise very challenging for most. You have shown us for these years that it is fun despite the hard work. You had amazing methods that really allowed me grow and expand my knowledge. During your lessons your passion of the subject was very evident and allowed me to truly grasp the concepts. You were never judgemental of those who were struggling and always made a huge effort to see us all succeed by providing us with resources and your own time. You have inspired me to become a stronger student, pushing myself further, and so much more involved in class. I can not thank you enough for your help and dedication to your students!
Good luck in the future Mr. Caister!

Thank you Mrs. Bowman! cheers

Science will never be the same.
You brought out the subject's true colors-fun, curious, inspiring, and endless. The way you always told stories in class and included all the students in discusssions created a wonderful atmosphere. Science is not just about measuring quantities, calculating significant digits, and performing labs. It is about understanding the possibilities in our universe, why we are here, and the beautiful world that we need to chersish. Thanks for the great time and important knowledge.

My name is Maggie McGuire and the professor who completely changed my outlook on my own life is professor Alistair Bath. He taught me Introduction to Resource Management which I had chosen as my elective (I thought it would be an easy A). However, his class ended up being my favourite due to his great enthusiasm and genuine passion/love for his material and students. He taught me that I can stand out in a large lecture-type class setting. He taught me that when approaching a problem, no matter the type, one should always be non-subjective and completely hear-out both arguments. Although we are constantly pounded down by environmental awareness talks, this man has taught me a whole new approach to the environment and has shown me that we are "one with the environment" rather than simply living in the environment. This may not seem that significant, but if everyone thought like Alistair Bath, our future in terms of environmental well-being would be a bright one.

Thank you Alistair,
Maggie McGuire

To Mrs. Galay, Mrs. Mitchell, and Mrs. Svendsen

I'd like to thank you for all you've done for me throughout my high school years. The amount of thanks I should provide is so large I can not fit it all in this message. I'd like to thank you for guiding me through my years and supporting me through the paths I've taken and led me to my future in kinesiology. Your guidance, your teachings, your support, and your faith in me has meant and helped beyond any amount of thanks I'd be able to give. I'd be no where if it weren't for all of you. Thanks forever and may you have the best lives for the good deeds you've all done.

Much appreciated,
Eric Q

Mr.Cockburn is a teacher at Ridgeway Crystal Beach Public High School in Ridgeway, Ontario, Canada. I have thanked him continuously for his great effort in teaching myself and along with others with things we may not have known, previously.

He has taught me how to make a cover letter, reference sheets, resume’s, maintaining a proper and intelligent look when I may be at interviews, as well as, prepared me for a job interview. Mr.Cockburn uses his “free” time to make classes more enjoyable and knowledgeable; he is a very proud man whom enjoys teaching others.

He showed me how one must be positive and to never give up. He has told stories to me and my classmates about life experiences that may be hard, but are quite educational. I must thank him for teaching me about all the things he has taught to me and also for helping me have a better grasp on life. Thanks to him and all his lessons and extra time spend on discussions with me, I have the ability to not only look deeper into my school work and life, but also I have an ability to turn the negative sides of people around. He continues to thank us for being such a great class, but not only us, he was the glue that stuck our class together and become as best as it is.

I would like to thank my french teacher Mr. Noce from York Mills Collegiate Institute for making me realize how your personality, convictions, and beliefs stay with you wherever you are. No matter the career path you choose you can still make a difference. As the leader of a number of charitable events and drives for our school, I learned how to go beyond the mere job description of a specific career.

I would like to sincerely thank my biology teacher Mr. fisher. He is a teacher here in Dauphin Regional Comprehensive Secondary School. He has taught me to keep trying and to be patient with everything especially school work. All my life i wanted to be doctor and within these past 2 years I started to doubt myself but Mr. Fisher was and still is always there for me to keep my dream alive. He is currently my AP biology teacher right now and he has been very kind to us and he always goes for that extra mile to make sure that we are prepared for the upcoming exam. From the bottom of the group of cardiac muscles hidden behind my ribs which is known as the heart i would like to sincerely thank you for all your hard work and believing in us.

Very much appreciated,
Roan Guerra
