I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life, all I knew is that I loved art. I took the Art and Design Fundamentals program at Georgian to explore the different possibilities for career options and where to further my studies. Janice Kaufmann, my graphic design teacher, showed me how much I enjoyed graphic design guiding me to decide on going into Advertising and Graphic Design at Humber College. Even though she wishes I continued my studies at Georgian, I would like to say thank you to her for showing me the path to the career I want to spend the rest of my life pursuing. Thank you Janice Kaufmann.

I am someone who is incredibly shy and have always kept to myself all through high school. I can't even say I had one friend other than my Family. Because of my Art Teacher Ms. Hayes at EDHS I am coming out of my shell and am actually pursuing my dream. I am proud to say I have been accepted to be entering the Bachelor of Arts Program in Animation and I would have never even thought I could if it wasn't for Ms. Hayes. Thank you, Thank you!!

I would like to thank my instructor "Vicki Bruce" at Thompson Rivers University, in the human services Department. Vicki truly cares about the success of her students and she is always ready to go the extra mile to assist us in our learning and our positive outcomes. she has a heart of gold but she expects her students to give 100 % and more. She will stand by us and support our efforts but we must have the true desire to work hard. She has given me empathy, encouragement, and compassion for which I am truly thankful. By having her as an instructor, my life has been enriched! Thank you Vicki Bruce!

I would like to say thank you to my principal, Ms. Galyna, in Westside Preparatory School. She encouraged me to be creative with the school marketing flyer, so I was able to apply my ideas instead of following the flyer outline given to the class. Best of all, she joins my mandarin class and learns along with all the other students.

Ms. Galyna, thank you for being an hard working role model.

I would like to commemorate Mr.Edgar, my Physics 30AP teacher.
Mr.Edgar told us a story as much as he taught us a course, was a raconteur as much as a teacher. His consistently impactful way of elaborating upon confusing concepts, assistance with exam preparation and general instance upon excellence clearly defined his class as one of my favorites.
Thank you!

Mr. Cherny,

I have been your student for less than a year and I can confidently say that I have never learned more from an English teacher than I have from you in your class. At the beginning of the year, I was a different student than who I am now. You promised us all that in participating in your class, we would become better students, but how much better was up to us. I didn't believe you then but I do now. It now seems funny to me how earlier in the year, I had mistaken your brilliance for haughtiness. By no means is your class easy; it requires hard work and dedication in order to succeed. As you once told us, "If you take care of the learning, the grade takes care of itself." Thank you for exceeding any standards I might have had for a good teacher and thank you for helping me become a better writer and student.

Upon returning to university from a long hiatus I entered Macroeconomics, a rather drab and dull subject, but it was required for my degree. Naive and unaccustomed to the norms of university life I wandered and got lost trying to find my tutorial for the class. It was on a floor I didn't know existed. When I arrived I was greeted by an enthusiastic and overall pretty great TA. Every tutorial he put 100% effort into trying to keep the material entertaining, but at the same time teaching us his "tricks" to simplify the sometimes complicated concepts of the course. During the semester I didn't want to miss even one of his tutorials as I knew it would be beneficial to my grade in the course. He really cared and it showed in each and every tutorial. To top it off - he gave us candy. Thanks Bill and great job!

Dear Mr. Nirwal,

I truly can't thank you enough for being my Biology teacher this semester. Before taking your class, I was convinced that Science was not my strong suit, especially not Biology. I had no intent of pursuing Biology as part of my post-secondary education.

But your class changed that. I can honestly say that I have never had a teacher with as much enthusiasm and commitment as you. Without fail, you arrived at our classroom well before our period began and set up the room for our pending lesson. You prepared and delivered captivating lectures each day that were filled to the brim with your vast knowledge on topics from evolution to biodiversity, genetics to human anatomy. Your passion was evident every day and you sparked an interest for biology in me that I never knew existed.

I also want to say a heartfelt thank you for the support you provided me with this semester. You knew that I had just transferred schools in the middle of the semester and went out of your way to ensure that I felt comfortable in your class. Your extra care and concern were appreciated more than you know.

The world should have more teachers like you. Your perfect mix of intelligence, dedication, compassion and creativity make you an astounding educator. You have inspired me to pursue a career in animal studies, a passion I would not have discovered if it had not been for you.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. A million times over. You are truly a first class educator and our school is a better place because of you.

Rachelle

I give you my sincerest gratitude, Mrs. Steacy, for always being there when I needed someone to put in a good word for me , or whether it was during my job hunt or as a reference for a volunteer application form.

You also taught me a lot about how to manage my financial stability later on in life - I learned a lot about investment, credit cards, accounting and taxes.
I hope you'll be there to support me in the future!

My first class educator would be my highschool music teacher, Mr McConnachie. He was such an inspiration to me with his teaching style, and he motivated me to pursue teaching as a career choice. Thanks Mr McConnachie!

Here is my belated Thank You to my second grade teacher, Ms. Rosina, who showed me how magical and exciting learning can be. True learning that comes from enjoyment and intrigue of the world around us is truly blissful beyond words. It was as if I had waltzed right into another realm when we explored the other planets in the solar system. In a blink of an eye, she injected the joy of learning in my mind. However, now and then I forget the reason why knowledge is so enticing due to a whirlwind of exams and stress. Then, I remember how exhilarating it is to venture into new ideas regardless of what subject it may be. Thanks to her outwardly cheerful philosophy on learning, I dream of becoming an eternal scholar.

I would just like to say thank you to Ms. Haire at Three Oaks Senior High School she has inspired me to pursue a career in teaching. Over the past four years I have completed my degree in Psychology at the University of Prince Edward Island during this time I have kept in touch with my former teacher from high school. I remember interviewing her in my third year university for one of my Sociology classes she was very helpful and ended up giving me great insight into my life and what I wanted to accomplish. She herself was a resource teacher for many years and her job always seemed to inspire me. That is when I decided to pursue my education further. This September I will be attending university once again working towards my second degree a Bachelors of Education with a certificate in Inclusion. I look forward to my journey ahead and I am confident in my abilities and so pleased knowing that this career will make a difference in the lives of many who have difficulties in school, whether it be a learning disorder, special needs or just someone who needs that extra help. I look forward to being that helping hand just like my former teacher.

I WANT TO SAY THANK YOU TO, Prince Edward Collegiate Institute teacher, Mr. Rob Garden. Over the last four years I have had the opportunity to interact with Mr. Garden in many different situations.

Most people have a teacher, professor or boss who they can say acted as a major role model for them at some point in their life! Mr. Garden has been that for me! So much in fact that I successfully nominated him for EDUCATOR OF THE YEAR this year for the Hastings Prince Edward County Region.

Mr. Garden has encouraged me to follow my dreams in the television field and helped me to improve my leadership skills. This year, as co-president of students council i wished to leave my mark on my school by creating a school wide lip dub video. (I'll put the link below) When I decided that I wanted to do it I knew exactly who to go to, Mr. Garden. He helped me to pitch my ideas and to get the whole school on board. It was amazing.

Mr. Garden is also very active in the sports community at my school, coaching the basketball and baseball teams! He also volunteers his time outside in the local community running a basket ball program for young children.

In the classroom Mr Garden is engaging, and fun. He often incorporating technology into the classes most recently using his I-Pad, Twitter, DropBox and GoogleDocs in my International Business class.

Mr. Garden is surely a first class Educator and I am so happy that I had the chance to be a student in his classes and work with him outside of the class room as well!

THANK YOU MR. GARDEN!

To Mr. Larry Seehagen,

I want to sincerely thank you for being my grade 12 English teacher at Burnaby North Secondary School. You have helped me find my way in not only school work, but also in future plans. Due to your great advices on 'life' and second options, I have made many back-up plans leading to my future goals in university and career. Moreover, I am thankful for your sarcasm that has put life in your classroom.

Once again, thank you Mr. Seehagen for your deep insight on basically everything!!
