I am interested in doing studies overseas, outgoing from Canada.

I am considering Japan or South Korea. I am likely to attend University of Ottawa in the fall. The criteria listed for an international exchange states that I must demonstrate some level of proficiency in the national language to be admitted. However, there are certain courses, in a particular South Korean school, where a program is taught completely in English. There is an extensive language program in a school of interest.

I was originally more interested in South Korea. But I feel discouraged.

Unfortunately, there are no language courses for the Korean language at the University.
There are language courses for Japanese. I have looked at the Japanese language through a few of the resources available to me. Do you think it is possible to study in one of these countries?

I could do study Korean – but it seems like it would be harder - there are fewer resources availble than the Japanese language.

So, basically ur problem is language?
In that case, why don't u try to learn korean by attending courses outside uni? or u can try to find a private teacher who can teach u korean?

Anyway, can I know why u want to go to korea (nothing to do, just asking for fun.hehe)?

I believe you have to take a TOEFL test to prove your English proficiency if you have not received a certain amount of Canadian school. Otherwise, you wouldn't have to bother because they assume you are proficient enough to converse and listen to lectures in English.
For entrance, I believe you take SAT for the more prestigious Korean Universities.
