So i've already been accepted for the undecided major program which has its cut off at 74%. I got my acceptance after 2nd semester midterms and at that time my average was 74.8% but after finals my average is 73.83%. So, I dropped 1% and im exactly 0.17% below the cutoff. Do you think york will revoke my offer?? and is it still possible to take a summer school course to bring up my average?

a) the cutoff was 74, but was that also the mark you had to maintain to keep your offer (this is generally found online or in your admissions package)? b) re. summer school: I think if you call them, they might be able to allow you to do so; you'll probably have to fax them a form or something saying that you're doing so University of Guelph Software Engineering, 2016
Applications (for Fall 2012): University of Waterloo - Computer Science (Alternate offer to Geomatics, May) University of Guelph - Software Engineering (Accepted, March) Carleton University - Computer Science: Game Development (Accepted, February) Carleton University - Interactive Multimedia and Design (Accepted, March) The University of Western Ontario - B.Sc. Computer Science (Cancelled application)
First semester (mixed w/ grade 11 marks) average: low-mid 80s Second semester midterm average: 81.33%

I called the admissions office and she said I have to maintain a 74 average. This was before I got my final mark.

York is pretty weird; from what I've heard they don't tell you in the admission package what you have to maintain. They do tell you when you call in and if you do go below they expect you to go to summer school and give them a better mark.

DON'T PANIC! I had the exact same thing happen to me, except that my midterms average was 75% and my finals average ended up dropping 16%.
Congrats on choosing York. Looking forward to seeing you in the fall!

If I were you I'd look at retaking a course quickly before the semester begins to boost your average; something like math would be a good idea to repeat.
