i am going to study for computer science(undergrad) this september. which laptop should i buy-macbook pro or dell xps? will apple operating software support languages and programs that i will be studying these 4 years? is it compatible? if there is any other laptop,please suggest ASAP!!

Get any laptop you want. I don't see how you would use it much differently than you would in high school. Waterloo provides software for macs.

it doesnt really matter. on a windows, you can dual boot linux (youll be needing it for your cs course in your 1b term). on a mac, you wont have to dual boot. like the person above said, software is provided for both mac and pc. you should be well off on either operating system.
