Mechatronics Acceptance at Waterloo Options

Hi,
I applied to UW Mechatronics Engineering with mechanical as my backup. My AIF was pretty strong with very good responses in my opinion and many EC's, school and community involvement. These were my marks

Gr 11
Aboriginal Issues - 97 (M class)
Chemistry - 88
English - 82
Functions - 92
Physics - 91
Computer Science - 94
Leadership and Peer Support - 94
Intro to Anthro/Pysch/Soc - 95
Physical Geography - 91

Gr 12
Data Management - 90 (final)
Advanced Functions -90 (Final)
Physics - 95 (Final)
Calculus (expecting 90-95, hopefully)
Aboriginal Governance (expecting 97-100, this is an M class)
Chemistry (expecting around a 95)
English (expecting low 90s)

With this do you think I would be getting an acceptance for their accepetance round in March or in May? My friend got in today with a high 90s average to Nano.

I think you will get into the program for sure, I was accepted on the 24th of Feb. As long as you are above the cutoff by like 5% you should be fine. My average was 95.6 and I got the early. As for your marks, they look pretty solid, roughly the same as what mine were. I finished Adv Func with 96 and Chem with 95 and English with 91

UPDATE:

These are my final top 6 gr. 12 marks incl. prerequisites.

Advanced Functions: 90
Physics: 95
Chemistry: 100
Calculus: 90
English: 87
Aboriginal Governance: 100 (next top U or M class, I also have 94 in World Issues if they were looking for U classes instead)

My top 6 average is now 93.67, my AIF is pretty strong. How does this change my chances?

hi, did you finally get accepted?
I have been accepted in March, and I am attending UW, are you? If yes, then I guess we will be classmate as all of the schedule is setup by UW... hahaha
