When the new building becomes fully functional/active, will 100% of Ivey be in it, or will they split it between the old facility and the new one? If everything is moving to the new one, what will happen to the old building?

All of Ivey will be in the new building. The MBA, MSc and PhD programs are currently in the new building. The old building will undergo a facelift of its own so that it can fill the needs of other programs.

All references will be checked. If a reference's information is incorrect of missing, that activity will not be looked at. Please contact Ivey directly to inform them of the change that needs to be made.

Ivey has not extended any offers at this point. Your friend is mistaken. The first round of offers for AEO status will occur at the end of March.

Since I only put down a number for my third activity, what if that person could not be contacted since he's not working on that particular day or something. Is the activity not included so I'll only have 2 activities for my application?

Multiple attempts will be made to contact a reference by phone if necessary. We do, however, much prefer email. If you have an email address for your reference, please contact Ivey directly at hba@ivey.ca and we can update the information for you.

Okay, thank you

I know you guys have began reference checks through email but I was wondering if reference checks through phone have begun as well?

To date, we have only been contacting references for whom we have email information. We will begin calling references shortly.

Not at all. We check all three references for every applicant which takes some time. Do not worry if your references have not yet been contacted.

My question is the opposite of OliveSun's - if one of our references has been contacted already, is that a good sign? Does the timing of contacting a person's references generally correlate with the timing of their offer?

There is no correlation between when references are contacted and when offers are made.

Hi there,

I was just wondering how competitive a 90% average really is? I understand it varies every year from the strength of the applicants but what are the acceptance chances with this average?

Also, how many reference are supposed to be contacted?

Thanks in advance

As you said, it depends on the strength of the applicant pool; but, generally a 90% average with strong extra-curricular activities in which you demonstrate teamwork, initiative, achievement and commitment is a competitive application.

We make an effort to contact all three references.

same question. also -do all three references need to be contacted? or do you just contact 1? (how do you choose which one?)

On the transcript for Ivey Admission, does the courses in the top 6 that you took online show up? Or do they only see your marks?

If they do show up, does Ivey care that some courses are done online as opposed to day school? Will I get penalized in any way?

Hey, I just had a quick question.

So as you probably know, DECA Provincials took place several days ago. I was awarded a medal for every component in my event and I placed 2nd overall. I have once again qualified for ICDC and will be competing in Salt Lake City in May. I just wanted to know if there was any way this accomplishment could be added to the awards/activities sections of my AEO application.

Thanks in advance.

As long as the courses were taken at an accredited institution, be it online or during the day, we look at the credits in the same way.
