  • Instead of buying brand name makeup like MAC or Dior, buy the cheap stuff or look for what's on sale. Whether your foundation is by Elizabeth Arden or Maybelline, it all does the same thing! You'll save lots of money and still look beautiful!

  • Besides stocking up on shampoo and conditioner at Costco each September, I like to have cheap 'spa nights' with my roommates. We each pitch a small monetary amount into a pool, and buy inexpensive and all-natural ingredients to make face masks and hair treatments. It's so easy to find great recipes online, and the ingredients can be found in your local grocery store. The things we use are as simple as eggs, honey, oatmeal, and pureed fruits, but the results leave us all fresh faced and out of unnecessary debts, plus it's a fun excuse to take a break from studying!

  • 1. Look up hair dressing schools in your area.  2. Attend on an advertised practice day.  3. Receive free hair cut.

  • I use the gym at my college to workout, so I save hydro costs by taking a shower there as well. Student services also occasionally supplies samples of certain personal care items which can also help when money is tight.

  • By removing the hair with a home made recipe designed to remove hair, I save money. Water and sugar boiled to a thick consistancy and a few drops of lemon juice results in a fantastic adhesive pefect for the removal of hair. The product is then chilled and stored for future use, when needed a portion is broken off and softened and applied to the designated area. I find this cheap and effective and also very green. Additionally, the hair takes a lot longer to return and even weakens with time.

  • I save money by using thyme as a natural acne treatment. It's safe, clean and works great!

  • Hair conditioner is great for your hair and it can be used as a shaving cream. The moisturizers in the conditioner will leave your legs and underarms smooth and soft.

  • Baby powder in hair. Keeps the grease away and saves time in the morning because you don't need to shower.

  • Shower at the gym!

  • I find an electric rechargable razor is a very good way to shave on money. It'll pay for itself, and there's no need to buy blades, or even cream.
