Why Employers Hire Chemistry Grads

The pharmaceutical industry hires chemists to design and make new drugs or find better ways to make current drugs. 

The oil industry needs people who understand how to enhance oil recovery and processing. 

Health and Environment Canada need people who have the fundamental understanding necessary to effectively deal with complex societal issues. 

Research labs need chemists who can invent our next generation of technology (and the one after that) to keep our economy strong. 

Medicine and medical research deals with fundamental biochemical and pharmacology that require a deep understanding of chemistry.
