From what I've heard, it depends on your school. At my school, Data Management is the apparently the easiest. At other schools, I've heard it's the hardest. University of Guelph Software Engineering, 2016
Applications (for Fall 2012): University of Waterloo - Computer Science (Alternate offer to Geomatics, May) University of Guelph - Software Engineering (Accepted, March) Carleton University - Computer Science: Game Development (Accepted, February) Carleton University - Interactive Multimedia and Design (Accepted, March) The University of Western Ontario - B.Sc. Computer Science (Cancelled application)
First semester (mixed w/ grade 11 marks) average: low-mid 80s Second semester midterm average: 81.33%

I hope it is! I'm taking it in grade 11. My sister said it was really easy!

i would say the most the unit where most students find difficulty is introduction to probability because MC3U OR the other mixed math does not prepare for it. everything else from permutations/combinations unit, statistics, probability distributions, normal distributions are all easy units. cheers! If MDM4U is taught properly, it's focussed on the probability aspect rather than the grade nine math aspect.

As rightsaidfred said, if taught properly then MDM 4U is supposed to be quite challenging. Combinatorics is one of the most challenging math fields, and the permutations and combinations are actually a VERY brief introduction to that so it's no way that you can say it's easy if your teacher is teaching it properly. It's definitely the hardest math at my school, you people who think it's easy are probably skipping a whole bunch of the curriculum. Applied to:
Brock University - Computer Science [Accepted] McGill - Computer Engineering [Accepted] McMaster - Engineering I [Accepted] Queens - Engineering [Accepted] Western - Engineering [Accepted]
Attending: McMaster Engineering - Class of 2016

Well, there is a lot of rumors about the possibility that it is easy. I take MCR3U(3) at the moment, getting 92, so I assume that, because I will take MHF4U(3) and MCV4U(E) [AP Calculus AB] as well as MDM4U(1), I guess it ccannot be harder than Calculus. Because most of this stuff is more multiplication based or something. At my school, very few people get 90s in MDM4U1, because of the fact that the majority came from MCF3M1, which, is perceived to be the course that people who do not know how to do/do not do well in math would take in Grade 11. Also, a lot of these people do not care about their education, causing them to even go as far as failing (get <50%) in it. On the other hand, AP people like me are taking it because of STAT240/241 [University of Waterloo, Statistics and Probablilty, Advanced Level] and I want to make my life easier. Some people [again, like me], are just addicted to math and want to learn as much of it as [I/we] possibly can. So, it depends, if you are good at Functions (MCR3UX, where X is any digit or letter) [i.e. minimum 80% in the course], I suppose you will find MDM4UX an easy course? Unless your teacher comes up with some unreasonably hard questions on tests that cause many people to fail. Anyway, I am obviously aware of the difficulty of Combinatorics and Optimization [University of Waterloo, Faculty of Mathematics]. But for one thing, this is an introduction to CO, so it is supposed to be easy. The Grade 11 prerequisites are completely pointless, as my math teacher has told me. That is because they teach you everything from scratch. I hope that having an MDM4U1 textbook (and able to study for it over the summer) helps bringing the mark up. [Oh, by the way, there is a summative in this course as a final evaluation, do not know if there is any exam for semestered schools, but for us, definitely]. one thing that can be agreed on...the homework is just as time consuming just like the other maths...especially the cpt/isu Free Publicity? O_o AWESOME SAUCE! 8D ^-^ Check out some of my fellow Youtubers! http://www.youtube.com/user/DCDRhey

Actually, some of this crap is not time consuming if you know what you are doing. If you understand class material, math homework should not take you a long time to ocmplete and in some cases, you do not even have to do every single question. There is no point in doing this **** if you already know what to do. Data is pretty easy. Come to think of it it's probably the most easiest u course like the op said. They should make it an m level course, if its ridiculously easy. And make business courses like accounting U. :/ Co-op Management University of Toronto Class of 2016

buisness courses are okay and thts true but unlike science and english u have to do the hwk questions in order to really know as opposed to just looking over stuff... Free Publicity? O_o AWESOME SAUCE! 8D ^-^ Check out some of my fellow Youtubers! http://www.youtube.com/user/DCDRhey
