Hmm... let's see if I can remember. I got acceptances to all programs that I applied to. Queen's - Science University of Victoria - Science Dalhousie - Science Western - Science Waterloo - Honours Science, Life Science, and Mathematics And ended up choosing Waterloo math! Who woulda thunk. But I was really considering following the money to UVic... they offered me $16,000 entrance, and a chance at a number of merit scholarships on top of that.

UTM Life Sciences Queen's Science Queen's Engineering McMaster Engineering Ryerson Biomedical Engineering
Decided to choose McMaster Engineering. Was debating till the end between Queen's Science, Queen's Engineering, and McMaster Engineering. Chose McMaster Engineering because I REALLY like their Electrical and Biomedical Engineering stream. Was initially thinking of going into Life Sciences, but trying to get into med school with no back up plan perspective/not having interest of pursuing careers such as Dentistry, Pharmacy, Chiropractic, Optometry, Research etc./not wanting to repent about not choosing Engineering in the future, swayed me towards Engineering. I will still give my MCAT and apply to Med school after graduating from Engineering, since Biomed Eng covers pre-reqs required for Med school (expecting "MED SCHOOL AFTER ENGINEERING? HAHAHAHA, NICE ONE" responses, though I won't mind them since it's a fact that Engineering is notoriously hard/er than Life Sciences.)But in my opinion, anything is possible if you work hard and have determination to accomplish whatever you want - cheesy, I know XD. Many medical schools take consideration of the difficulty of a certain degree. Also, a Biomedical Engineering professor told me that many medical schools actually prefer engineers. Fall 2012 Application Ryerson University - Biomedical Engineering: Accepted Ryerson University - Undeclared Engineering (Entry Option Only): Accepted Carleton University - Biomedical & Mechanical Engineering (Co-op): Accepted University of Ontario Institute of Technology - Nuclear Engineering/Nuclear Engineering and Management: Accepted University of Ottawa - Biomedical Mechanical Engineering & Computing Technology (Co-op) (double degree): Accepted University of Windsor - Engineering-Mechanical (Aerospace Engineering option) - Accepted McMaster University - Engineering I (Co-op): Rejected University of Guelph - Biomedical Engineering (Co-op): Rejected

I did follow the money. Chose Carleton over Waterloo ECE and Toronto's Engsci. The only thing that gave me pause was that I liked Waterloo's courses a little better. I really did want to learn discrete math early but hopefully I'll get to that eventually.

Eh; I'm not smart enough to be the all-star on any team. Carleton feels like a smaller school and program which is going to be better for me. And... you shouldn't alienate people by being rude to them. There's really no need for it.

University of Toronto - Electrical and Computer Engineering University of Toronto - Physical & Mathematical Sciences University of Toronto Mississauga - Forensic Science University of Waterloo - Math (Co-op) McMaster University - Engineering Ryerson University - Biomedical Engineering
Ended up choosing UofT ECE because they offered me most money and a summer research position :D and it's located in Toronto so it's pretty close to my house. Waterloo Math also offered me same amount of scholarship and also a job as a tutor/grader but nah. Doing a research job with a professor looks cooler XD and the reason why I applied to non-engineering programs are just in case I decided not doing engineering on the last minute although that's not happening. :P

Accepted into: University of Waterloo - Management Engineering Univeristy of Toronto - Studies in Chemical and Physical Sciences McMaster University - Engineering I (co-op) University of Western Ontario - Engineering Ryerson University - Electrical Engineering I accepted uWaterloo because, i just really love everything about that school. The campus, the faculties, the programs, courses. everything. Also, because the program seemed to interest me a lot. It was a hard decision between Mac and Waterloo. U of T rejected me from Mechanical Eng, to which I initially applied, and gave me an alternate offer to UTM for the above listed program. University of Waterloo - Management Engineering Class of 2017
