Hello everyone! I am looking into university's to apply to for computer science and I am very new to this sort of thing. I was wondering what the difference between a Bachelor of Computer Science was compared to a Bachelor of Science. I have been looking for university's on electronic info for computer science and I was just wondering what the difference was. Example: BSc : Computer science @ UofT St.George or BCS: Computer Science @ Waterloo Also if anyone can offer me any information on what university would be good for computer science that would be great! I am thinking about heading into the game development pathway and I want to major in Computer Science. Again I am very new to this so pardon me if I said anything wrong :P I was truthfully just introduced to the term major a few days ago. All information will be helpful to me and all help is very appreciated. Thank you very much!!!

I think it's just traditionally called B.Sc, but now some schools call it B.CS. Sort of like how some schools offer B.ASc and some offer B.Eng for engineering.

I am pretty sure the BSc is a Bachelors of Science, this is what most universities offer you if you are in the Math, Science or Engineering Faculty. However at Waterloo, people who complet Computer Science get a BSC, and Bachelors of Computer Science, which seems specialized. Just to let you stand out I guess. University of Waterloo : Software Engineering Current term: 1b, January - April
