Internship Advice

By Studentawards

Go to school in the same city as the industry you want to work in; you need to look for internships and cold call places you’re interested in working at. Volunteer to work for free, get some experience, and meet people – a volunteer position could turn into a paid job.

Lindsey Neely, TV Producer

Complete internships in four months, rather than eight months working part-time. That way, you won’t miss anything important, and you’ll get used to the flow of the company.

Greg Rawson, Sport Coordinator, Ontario Cycling Association (OCA)
