Hey everyone! I was just wondering because it's not really that specific on the Ryerson site... what's the average a person needs to strive for in order to get into either the Collab nursing program at Ryerson/one of the affiliates or just Ryerson?
Thanks! colors

1. I've applied to Ryerson (the uni and both of the collab colleges: centennial and George-brown) and York. Unfortunately, my mother won't let me out of her sight. As a result, I am stuck in Toronto.

2. I've also applied to U of T for teacher's concurrence for back-up ;)

3. Hopefully 85-90% but seeing my marks now...I'm no longer sure. Probably 80-85% the least.

All my applications are under-review. I'm so afraid because I did crap on my grade 11 marks. Early acceptances are not something I will be anticipating for. My life has been revolving about acceptance, it's starting to ruin me.

I applied to Western, (both uni n Fanshawe site), Ottawa, York, Ryerson, Brock, and Trent
I only applied for nursing, no backups:(
I'll prbly have 85-88% by the end for my top 6, or atleast for midterm
I really hope I get into Western at the uni site....it's like my dream school, but I don't think I will cuz of my grades:(
Worst case scenario...I have Brock n Trent as my backup

on einfo, for the collab sites(ryerson/gb, ryerson/cent) the average is between 76-81% and for the main ryerson site the avg is 82-86%, Im striving for the main ryerson site myself. :)
i applied on the colleges website. there was this letter that came with my acknowledgement saying to fill out the supplementary form but at the end it says "form is to be completed by all applicants who are not currently enrolled in a full-time high school program" so I guess I'm not going to bother filling it out, since I'm currently in high school. here's the link to the supplementary form though http://www.ryerson.ca/co...veSupplementaryForm.pdf
It says in bold on my Collaborative Nursing Degree Program letter "Your admission application will not be reviewed until the completed Supplementary Form is received".

Though, i'm quite lost as to why they had sent this as a second later, at least 10 days after the first acknowledgement letter.

yeah I was confused too, but I got that second letter along with my acknowledgement letter..in the same envelope. So I emailed the email address provided on that letter for questions, and the lady replied back saying to not fill out the supplementary form

Hey there, fellow nurses-to-be! :)

I posted on this topic before--I'm applying to all three schools involved in the Ryerson Collaborative Nursing program actually (but I'm shooting for the main site!) which is shaping up to be pretty competitive (i. e. super stressful in terms of schoolwork).

Out of curiosity (and this is directed to my fellow Ryerson applicants), has anybody gotten early acceptance yet? Does anybody know if Ryerson gives out early acceptance for this program? It's just that it's getting pretty lonely listening to people going on about getting early acceptance from their programs and not knowing if it's even possible for me (which, based on my grade 11 marks, isn't likely anyway, but you never know).

Also, do you guys know how Ryerson gives out admission offers in general? I don't think I'm going to make it for the deadlines for the first round of admissions (which is supposed to give out offers to students between March and April) so I'm starting to look ahead. Will not making this deadline affect my chances drastically, or can I make it up by meeting the deadlines for the second round (for admission offers in May)?

1. Which school(s) are you applying to?
2. What other programs are you applying to as your back up?
3. What GPA are you aiming for for your final year?
EXTRA - I want current Nursing students to be included as well! Tell us where you go, where you applied to and what your GPA in Grade 12 was. Also, a few pointers, tips and guidance is always great.

i just called Ryerson's admission office and the lady told me that the lowest average that was accepted into the nursing collaborative program last year was 76.... that's pretty low o.O
however, i called the york admission office and for some reason the admission people there are dumb as bricks and can't seem to even tell me any sort of average or number of students they accept. the woman referred me to 4 different people and all of them answered me with an answer that had no relevance to what i was asking.
i think i might go to ryerson instead.

Hello to all nurses-to-be!

Just wanted to share how happy I am to see all of you enthusiastic about getting into a nursing program!
So far, my first year in nursing has been so rewarding, although it comes with hours of non-stop studying, reading and good time-management skills to succeed. I'm so happy to have made it, and I wish you all the best of luck in regards to admission!
I go to UWO (Western), so if any of you have questions about the program or campus, I would be more than happy to help. :)

I have applied to the UNB Nursing Degree Program at Humber College (Collaborative with University of New Brunswick). Their requirements include: biology, chemistry, math and english at U level. Additionally, they require two elective courses from their approved list. My problem is that all of my grade 12 elective courses are in 2nd semester....Humber prefers that all courses are completed before February. The only one that will count from my grade 11 marks is Anthropology. I DO have bio, chem, math, english this semester so thats covered. It's just one of my electives that will be completed next semester... Due to this, on my Humber Account it says that my qualifications have met AGAINST their requirements. Should I be scared that I won't be accepted?

That's odd :| I also applied to Humber for nursing, but I do have two electives from last year...but here is a little message that came with their email to me:

"As a current High School applicant you will receive a conditional offer with midterm marks or final marks as long as you meet the minimum admission requirements and it will be your responsibility to meet the conditions and to ensure all final transcripts are submitted directly to OCAS."

I don't think they should penalize you for something like that D: Maybe it just says that your application is against their requirements because they are currently looking at early acceptances? But based on their email, they shouldn't penalize you or anything :) But if you are really concerned, maybe you can call them to clarify?
