I don't think I'll be getting an offer anytime soon from Mac because my chemistry mark from 1st semester is hurting my avg. How about you? Is Mac your first choice too or is it Ryerson?

Ryerson's my first choice, since it's close to home (free rent) and the program is quite reputable ;) But personally I would want to go to McMaster.....if I didn't need to pay for res haha! And yeah, chemistry wasn't my strongest subject either...mainly cuz I didn't like it much. But I don't think u'll learn much chemistry in nursing. I asked a fourth year Ryerson nursing student and she said they barely touched chem. But a lot of essays indeed. Grrreeeaatttttt. I'm sure ALL my senior science and math courses will help me immensely on THAT, ha! (I've only taken like, ONE elective social science course) Applied to:

I will most likely be attending Ryerson too because I don't have to worry about the extra cost of residence. Besides, I think the only reason why I want to get into McMaster is because of its prestigious reputation and it's well know for its health science department. Also, I'm a little worried about the PBL. It might not fit my learning style because my chem teacher used a self directed approach, which is probably why I didn't do so well. I think if you're the lazy type (like me) PBL is not going to work for you haha. So, I guess I'll be seeing you this fall at Ryerson! :D Btw, I see that you got into UWO main site. Just out of curiosity (because I didn't apply there) what's your condition. I got accepted to the fanshawe site and it said we need to maintain an 84%. the conditional req for UWO main site is the same 84% :P Applied to:

My sem 1 avg was a 78%. But since I sucked at math and chem last year, I think they are waiting for my second sem midterms! checking ouac everyday, hoping for a response! good luck guys! **Shields** Accepted: University of Toronto: Social Sciences + Vic One (Pearson Stream) Carleton University: Honours Science University of British Columbia: Arts

Hey, my average is currently an 84 but I am going to upgrade chem and an elective in night school. I was wondering if anyone has gotten accepted to UOIT? And if you could please share your average with me, I would greatly appreciate it ! Thanks

To the poster above: I know several mature students have been accepted to UOIT, but their circumstances are obviously different than yours.
I've been accepted today to St. Lawrence for both the BSCN and PN programs. High school average: 81-85%, depending on what's included on calculations. Uni average (no transcript submitted): 73%
I'm going to accept this offer, it was the school I wanted. That's why you apply to the 'less popular' colleges, kids!

Hi. I am a first year student at Mac for social science, and I applied for nursing in grade 12 as well. I got accepted to Ryerson cent around..march/april I think last year but declined. and I got accepted to Humber in JULY! They personally called my house for that, but I was already stuck on doing a different program at Mac. I re-applied to nursing again this year just because I think I'm more a science/health based person. My transcripts got to Ryerson on the Feb 27th and I got accepted to GB and Cent by the 1st. I'm still waiting on Mac's nursing though, but the point is that you guys should not worry too much and give up! there is A LOT of time left for offers to come out. The last day for universities to give out acceptances is June 2nd(at least that's what it was last year) so there is 3 months left. Also I didn't apply to the main site for Ryerson only because I just used OCAS and not OUAC. Ryerson GB 2016!

I also find it's much harder coming from a university background to apply to these programs because you have to do extremely well in ALL of your courses because its not just top marks, everything counts. It also takes a lot of hard work to get high marks in university. Ryerson GB 2016!
