Last year during university I was working a full-time job and a part-time job, and this year I'm working 2 part-time jobs and doing volunteer work. No sweat. What's the problem?

Umm first off we are two different people who two different lives. I have important extra-curricular activities everyday and have not time to commit to a job. If I were to work, it would cut into my study time. So dont compare me to you becuase we have different study habits, different lives, different responsibilities. THANKS. Calm your hormones. You came to us and said you "desperately" needed a job. I gave you advice on how to get a job while still being in school. There's no reason your job would have to cut into study time, and if it did, then you'd have to develop more effective study habits. What are your "extra curricular" activities? Why are they so important, especially considering you say you so desperately need money but won't take the time to make that money?

As previously discussed, they prohibit me from engaging in certain activities. For a couple of examples, I can not work and they wouldn't let me be in the school musical. I do have some say in what I do, but its definitely not completely left up to me. For the most part I enjoy what I do, and I have not had too many major conflicts over this.
Ouch. Your parents are control freaks. The only reason you're okay with it at the moment and don't feel suffocated is because you haven't lived on your own and experienced some independence.

Well... I have two part-time jobs currently. One in my hometown, and one on campus at my school. I got very lucky. I have been at my job (at home) for 3-4 years now, so they let me work every other weekend and during my breaks. At school, I only work Thursdays. So it's very easy for me to balance everything. My jobs are anything but stressful.

I have to balance two jobs, basketball, school and a boyfriend. Basketball involves me being away almost every weekend for three months straight! I work anywhere from 10-18 hours a week. Because I did this, my hours of sleep suffered huge :|

I honestly have no idea how I'm going to balance work and school while in university. Even in high school, I feel like all spare time is gone. I can't remember the last day that I didn't have to go to work, school, or both.

Not all jobs are easy to keep while you're in school. For instance I'm a photography student and nothing is planned out perfectly. I run around almost 24/7 doing work for school because nothing goes as planned. How would I be able to maintain a job during school when I barely have time to sleep? **Shields**
