I'm curious what you guys do outside of school and how you manage it all! Post your ECs here and your average and how you balance school and extra curriculars, etc.

I'm in a grant-making committe, social justice, character counts, OSAID, and I'm getting a job! I'm looking for a volunteer opportunity to do on weekends. My average is ~93%-94% but I'm not sure since I don't have mark updates for all my classes. I really need to bring it up to a 95....

I procrastinate so balancing everything isn't very easy (even though I'm like not doing anything lol) but I manage.

Treasurer for a social justice group, Link Crew leader, VP of IT for a Junior Achievement company, Habitat for Humanity volunteer (recently resigned), and I work part time. Last semester I also did some grade nine math tutoring, and was more involved with Model U.N. My average is about a 93-94%.

Haha yeah I procrastinate a lot too, it's hard not too :p Everything is more interesting when it comes time to do assignments or study. I just prioritize and put in effort for courses that matter like English and Math, and slack in irrelevant courses like History :)

Wow you're so involved! :o Excuse me for being ignorant, but what's Junior Achievement? I've never heard about it until now lol.
Ahhhh I know right? It's terrible! A friend of mine consistently sleeps at 5 am since they go on tumblr so much... glad I don't have tumblr lol.

Haha don't worry, I didn't know about JA until this year too. It's basically this organization that promotes entrepreneurship in youth. You have a group of people that create a company, and then you design and produce a product, sell it, earn profit, etc. At the beginning, you sell shares which gives you the money to start off with, and then you return the shareholders money at the end of the program after you liquidate your company. I think there's about 30 or 40 JA companies in Central Ontario, if I'm not wrong.

Lol yeah I sleep around 1 or 2 every night. I'm not even doing that much, I'll just be on Tumblr or Reddit or listening to music or something. I should stop doing that :p

That sounds pretty intense! I'm going to start researching about that lol! Thanks for telling me about it.
I know - it doesn't seem that bad of an idea when you're doing it but you regret soooo much in the morning lol. And then you promise yourself to stop, but everything's just so tempting when you have stuff you don't want to do :$

I'm up for the presidency of my Make Poverty History Group, which I have been a part of for all my high school career, and I am in the running for Students Council next year (was asked to run for Student Body President, but decided not to). More importantly, I am extremely involved with theatre at my school and im my community, taking part in pretty much any play I can.

My current average is 89, but I'm not uber focused on school. I much prefer to take part in extra curriculars, and since I want to go into Musical Theater, plays are more important to me than homework.

I think that extra curricular is more important than school- what about you guys?

Wilfred Laurier- BA Honours Communication (Accepted)
Trent- BA International Development Studies Accepted
Sheridan- Performing Arts Preparation (Accepted)

Actually have some decent extracurriculars now. Though not actually curricular as such.

I was involved with multiple sports teams and volunteered constantly. Still stayed on the honour roll thanks to sweet marks in World History, Philosophy, and Writer's Craft.
