I am currently trying to graduate with a BCom degree from Nipissing University. The degree is 90 credits long.

My question is, what can I do after this degree? I am looking to become an accountant.

Can I do MBA after this? Or, can I pursue CA designation after this?

Good question and one we get a lot. If you're interested in finance or accounting related careers, getting a professional designation is definitely a good option. In Canada you have 3 great accounting designations to choose from:
- Certified General Accountant (CGA)
- Chartered Accountant (CA)
- Certified Management Accountant (CMA)

Again, all are good options and provide similar career opportunities for you. Program delivery is a main difference between them. A benefit of the CGA program is that it's done entirely part-time and online which allows you to start working full-time while in the program. Course offering is different as well. You can choose course electives in the CGA program that provides industry focused training (ex.public practice, non-profit, corporate, government) http://www.cga-domore.org/howtoget. Accountants work everywhere from business operations and analytics to finance and audit.

As a Nippising B.Com grad you'll be eligible for transfer credits which fast-track you in the CGA program. https://www.cga-ontario.org/Nipissing

Take a look at the three and see what best suits your career interests. If you have any questions about careers in accounting let us know or send a PM. Hope this helps.

If you want to become an accountant then you should go for CA courses. This is the best option for accountant. You can also take advice from career coach. May be they will suggest you better option.
