McMaster does not provide alternative offers for its Life Sci program. Your chance of acceptance to Life Sci at Mac with this avg is impossible. Your chance of acceptance to UTM Life Sci is very borderline. Pull your avg up to AT LEAST 82%, for a better chance of acceptance. **Shields** Accepted: University of Toronto: Social Sciences + Vic One (Pearson Stream) Carleton University: Honours Science University of British Columbia: Arts

If you want to go into Life Science at UTM (Note: a campus of U OF T!) then I would recommend returning for another semester. UTM Life Science is very competitive, and considering you only got a 75 in Biology... it might not be best to go right now. I know this sounds harsh, but it's better to find out now instead of dropping $10 000 and then flunking out, which IS a possibility at any U of T campus. Good luck for all your future endeavors.

your chances of getting in are pretty small, i know someone last year who had an 81 avg and didn't get in. pull it up to at least an 83 and you'll be considered, but the program itself is competitive. sorry to bring your hopes down, but you might get accepted to the utm psychology program? its usually the alternate offer and you can take the same courses as life sci and if your average is high enough you can transfer.

Well if they live close to UTM then it's understandable. But im sure most people would go to Western in a heartbeat. Well yes, they are located in Mississauga (including myself). However, 4/5 of them chose UTM because of the scholarships (5k auto for 92+ and then additional 2k for 90+? = first year paid for), and of course, the location. Plus, one of them has plans to pursue medicine abroad, so the UofT tag can potentially enhance his chances. And Life Sciences is pretty standard everywhere (St George is a little arguable), so UTM has no disadvantages over Mac or Western (imo). And oh yeah, UTM Life Sci program is MUCH smaller than Mac Life Sci/Western BioMed, allowing students to easily communicate with professors/participate in research projects. Lastly, UTM has some pretty sick PreMed clubs and activities too (google them up XD). I am by no means advertising for UTM XD. I would have choosen Mac Life Sci/Queen's Sci over UTM if I still intended to solely pursue Life Sciences (Med school's still my goal), only because Mississauga is boring for me now :P. But living close to home differs for everyone; e.g. the 4 friends.
