I haven`t heard anything from the colleges that I`ve applied to and its already May 1st. I`m scared that I have not met any of the requirements, or perhaps mature students have to apply in a certain way?...I have no clue
Is anyone here a mature student who has not heard from the colleges yet? I heard that I they were sending out the second batch of acceptance letters around mid-April-end of April. Ive been out of high school for almost a year and my overall average is 83.5% and ryerson/gb is the only place i havent heard from yet either ! ^ I've seen that you applied last year, did you ever try applying to cent and get in w/ an 83? >< Kitty2: at least you still got a response from the other places you`ve applied to. I haven`t heard anything yet :( well at least i know i`m not the only one left waiting. I keep checking my status` on the colleges websites, on OCAS and i`ve gotten a hold of one admissions advisor two weeks ago, she said she didnt need anything else from me except to wait. jenjenn89: i did apply last year and i didn`t get my pre-requisites in on time. I got accepted to the practical nursing in Jan2012 but i opted for the BScN this september in prayers that i`ll get my bachelors degree instead. I had my midterms in since March 2012 this year, so thats why i`m still wondering why i haven`t heard a thing :( I really hope to get anywhere at this point! lol University of Ontario Institute of Technology: Bachelors of Science in Nursing(hons)

For many the deadline was May 1st, so for those of you still waiting, keep positive. Many people, like myself applied to 3+ different nursing programs, yet were only going to choose one. So goodluck!!!!

i got really excited when i saw this thread! i applied to all nursing programs. i've gotten into a few unis for early acceptance. i'm still waiting for queen's, western and mac. my grade 11 marks weren't high enough for those three. my top 6 average is 88... i don't know how high my chances are for getting in, since this year seems super competitive. anyone got an offer after midterms went in?

You should get into Western and Mac no problem, and I don't see why you shouldn't get into Queens as well. May I ask what else you were accepted for? What is your #1 choice? With all the anticipation I decided to call at least one school -centennial- which is the easier school to get into for nursing. They told me since I`m a mature student, I am competing in pool of students of already have their degrees and just upgraded their prerequisites. If I was to apply right after highschool my grades would`ve been competitive enough. She recommended me to apply for the PN-program in the fall, but now that program is wait-listed because I applied to most of the BScN programs that I can attend. Just filling you guys in an individual with a mature student status. I am officially discouraged, but i haven`t given up yet because I still officially haven`t been `rejected` from any schools because I haven`t heard from anyone yet. For any mature student out there, do you think she is over exaggerating? and what was your situation? any word of advice would be greatly appreciated! I applied to ryerson and the collab sites for nursing, and I haven't heard anything whatsoever! I think I'm gonna apply to the PN programs- just in case! But I have to apply before June 1st, I hope I get news by then.....I just don't want to apply to the PN programs and figure out later that I got accepted to my original 3 choices on the OUAC. Good Luck to All:) **Shields** Accepted: University of Toronto: Social Sciences + Vic One (Pearson Stream) Carleton University: Honours Science University of British Columbia: Arts

I sure hope so! ;$ I was accepted for nursing at ryerson, ryerson/GB, UOIT and trent. Ryerson's not a bad choice if I don't get into the other three. But, right now my first choice is mac.
