Does that mean they only look at these 5 subject? English, Biology, Chemistry, Functions/Calculus/Data and one non-math, non-sci, non-tech credit. For the non-tech course, do they pick the highest mark form all your non-tech course? Can it be another English course "Studies in Literature"? I unfortunately didn't get in. I highly doubt that I'll get into Mac now. Yeah, I applied and got accepted! I know a number of really qualified students in my grade that applied and I was very surprised to hear they got rejected too. People are talking though, and they say Scholar's Electives is going to be bigger than Mac's BHSc in a couple of years (except for the fact that you don't have to be pursuing biomed specifically). I think I'll be going to scholar's even if I get into both but I'm really hoping to get into Health Sci just for pride's sake at this point. And don't be discouraged! The applications were VERY VERY different from one another so not getting into one doesn't necessarily mean you won't get into the other!! University of Western Ontario Class of 2016 Medical Sciences (BMSc - Honours) + Scholar's Electives + President's Scholarship :D Successful year! Here are the details: :D Applying to enter Fall 2012 with Top 6 Midterm 98.5 ✔ [May 09] McMaster HealthSci ✔ [Mar. 01] Toronto EngSci ✔ [Feb. 21] Waterloo NanoEng ✔ [Feb. 20] McGill BioMed ✔ [Jan. 20] Western BioMed + [Apr. 21] Scholar's Electives <3

No, they look at those 5 + you're highest mark out of your remaining courses (this can be any subject). For your non-math/science/tech course, and for your math, they pick the highest mark out of all the courses that qualify for that requirement if you have more than one that they can choose from. English sounds like a non-math/science/tech course to me :P As for the entrance scholarship, as far as I know they look at your admission average into whichever program you choose (ie. if your admission average into health sci is 93.00% then that is the average they use for your entrance scholarship). Les Princes sounds awesome :D I really hope I at least a double room (aiming for a single). I've heard quite the horror story about getting triple, even QUAD rooms. The worst part is, these rooms were originally designed as doubles. McMaster Health Science
