What was the cut off average for 2011?
Does western count your grade 11 math into your top 6 average even if you have a grade 12 math this year?

The cutoff average is supposed to be in the high 80's, I think last year was an 88. But I got accepted this year with an 82%, and my Math mark was a 65 (although I'm upgrading it). I hope you get in, I wanna meet people in my program!

Good Luck!

Still waiting and hoping to get into Western.. my average is expected to be about an 87, but I am still taking biology so hopefully I can keep my mark up:)
I am undecided between UWO (big university) and Trent (small university) and which will be the better option for me... Hoping to hear from UWO soon!

Hey! I'm a 1st year nursing student at Western. The cut-off average for last years entry into the program was 87 or 88% I believe.
It can fluctuate year by year, so this year could be lower or higher than that. Let's hope for everyone's sake that it's a bit lower. :)

Let me know if you have any questions regarding nursing @ Western. I can let you know all about the program. :P

My marks are currently:
95 Chem
92 Bio
88 English
91 World History
80 Ex Sci
80 Calc

Math was never my strong suit and I just slacked really hard in Ex sci. Would you say I have a fair chance with getting into the Western site? I checked the cut off for fanshawe and it was around 84 so I'm not worried about that. I just want to go to western for personal preferences :p.

Oh and what exactly is a "cut off average"? Is it the average of all the entrants to the program? Or is it the lowest possible average you need to get accepted?

Yeah, you seem to have a really strong chance of getting in, I would say. :)
The "cut-off" is the lowest possible average in order to get accepted. So, if it's 87%, they will only consider anything above that number. I know it's really high, but tr not to let that phase you. I'm sure you will get accepted. :P

I know, it's crazy! But hey, I'm not complaining. It was my top choice! :D I'm super excited to start, this has been my dream for 3 years now.
