Actually, no! That course looked interesting, but I decided there's no room for it in what will be my schedule... haha. I'm thinking history/polisci/global development studies as a major (going to law school someday hopefully woo), but I'm not 100% sure yet! I change my mind every so often... how about you?

Fun stuff! Yea, I'm actually going in to classics myself. Probably afterwards I'll branch into something like law as well. You have no clue how excited I am

Congrats everyone! I am finishing up my third year as a history major/classics minor, so can definitely answer questions about those programs.
Are you a broke student? I've earned over $500 in amazon giftcards from Swagbucks since August, 2011. I haven't had to pay for a single textbook out of pocket since joining, and I have money left over for coffee!

That's awesome! I'm so excited, but the more I read about it being hard to get a great GPA, the more scared I get :( oh well we'll see I suppose!

Why should you come to Queen's?

Ask yourself this, do you just want to go to some school or do you want to come to a world-renown institution that is more than a school, a university that feels like home. If it's the latter choose Queen's.

Yea that's the only problem. Just take it as it comes, I guess. I'm satisfied regardless, having a university education is one of the best things you can do for yourself.

torn between queen and schulich. Here is my impression of the two:
Queen:
exceedingly expensive tuition = around 18 grand a year
good alumni network
workload is not too harsh
good for finance
a mostly live on campus school
small town university
party school
the girls are hot hot!!
very racist towards minorities?!?

Schulcih
inexpensive tuition = 6 grand a year
good for accounting
workload is tougher than queens
commuter school
diverse student body
located in the "hood"(we are talking jane and finch)
reputation is not as good as queens
not a very safe campus, shootings, murders happening every few months
shoddy reputation

I am leaning towards schulich because the tuition is cheaper and toronto is my city. I dont like commuting, because that means I have to wake up at 5 in the morning and take 1 train, 4 different buses through the most dangerous hoods in toronto....Well, then again considering I am south asian, I dont want to go to queen and be a target of racism. Help me out guys, I think schulich makes more sense for me, but the partying and girls at queens is appealing too. I just wish the tuition was cheaper.

It's been a helluvanight "

Dude, don't fret about going to Queen's just because you're a minority. I'm Asian myself and when I visited the campus, every person I spoke to was nice to me. There are also a number of Asian students at Queen's as well so you won't be the only one - trust me. If you truly want to attend Queen's, don't let your ethnicity hold you back.
