Hi. Did anybody get accepted to Mcgill"s life science??? Anybody knows what the cutoff for this year is? I have an overall average of 94, which is pretty close to last year's cutoff, 92.7. I am afraid that this year's cutoff is gonna get higher, and i won't be able to get in. In addition, does anyone know how to apply for the student loan at mcgill? cause I won't be able to apply for OSAP if I decide to go there.

I have a translated average of 96%, which is 40/42 in core IB terms.
I think the financial cost is part of the reason why I'm going to decline McGill. In my honest opinion, McGill just isn't what it used to be. (And I know the rankings are a bad way to judge a university, but McGill just keeps slipping while UofT rises. That's a bit worrying.) It's not getting as much funding from the province, which means that it doesn't give out as much financial aid as it should.
Good luck though!

Well my average in Feb was 93.3...then dropped to 92.0 in April but that was only a week before I got my offer. I just hope they didn't look at the first mark because the offer said "maintain current academic achievement" but my average dropped more than a percent.... Accepted: Mcgill Biology, Biomed, LifeSciences group Mcgill Chem Engineering UW Nano Engineering UW LifeSci UT LifeSci UWO Bio Med / no SE :'(

In addition, does anyone know how to apply for the student loan at mcgill? cause I won't be able to apply for OSAP if I decide to go there. My friend got in last year with an 88, don't stress! And why can't you get OSAP? I'm from Ontario and am totally banking on it, and have already applied and everything. On top of that, under the "Applicant" menu in Minerva, you can apply for an Entrance Bursary. Do it! :) Based on financial need, and if there's some other reason you can't access OSAP, you can totally nail one of those! They offer up to 10k and ask you how much you'd like - this totally threw me off so I sat on the fence in terms of whether I was going to be honest and say how much I wanted, for fear of sounding greedy, or being courteous and asking for a small amount that would only make a small dent in my debt - I asked for 5k. Best of luck! McGill University - Class of 2016
