I would like to say thank you to Mr. Evangelista for teaching me Advanced Functions and functions. Though his jokes are a bit dry, his love to teach and his effort in helping his students make attending his class a fun time. I would take his class again any day! He wears nice ties and is always supporting us to make our mathematical dreams come true!

I want to say THANK YOU to my Research Supervisor/Professor Dr. Dave Pilgrim for being an amazing prof/supervisor. Dr. Pilgrim has been my professor for the last 2.5 years and has definitely allowed me the freedom to explore the field of research and find a project I am really interested in. Through his classes and working in his lab, Dave has taught me several new molecular techniques such as recombinant mapping, in situ hybridization, knockdown and rescues experiments and not to mention allowing my LOVE OF SCIENCE to grow like a field of weeds. Thanks, Dave!

I would like to thank my physics professor, Kirk Kaminsky. He was an amazing physics professor who sparked my curiosity greatly and got me questioning everything about our universe. It's great educators like him that share their intelligence with others and help spread knowledge for the better of mankind.
Thank you so much Kirk. If I could be in your class again, I promise another A.

I not only want to thank my BIO 20 teacher, Mr. Gagnon, but would also like to tell him "Keep Going!". I believe this is his second year of teaching, and in my opinion he is doing extremely well. He is rather quirky, and a bit shy and awkward in class, but I'd like to tell him he's doing great. He's a drummer in a band called "Neural Manifest" and is currently expecting his second child. I find him very inspiring, because at such a young age he has accomplished so much. He is very, very understanding - he tutours, gives make-up projects, has given us his e-mail if we ever need help with something, and posts class notes on our virtual class room. I have never heard of another teacher who puts in so much effort into teaching for his students. He puts a smile on my face everyday.

I would like to thank Matthew Letts who was my professor at the University of Lethbridge for geography and weather and climate. He is a sweet and understanding person who clearly demonstrates his passion for his studies. He has done vast amounts of research in his field and is open to show his work in his lectures to explain concepts clearly. One of his best qualities was his jokes that would lighten the mood and his tangents about topics that interested him the most. He was always free outside of class where he answered questions from the lecture or even questions regarding degree information/fun facts (In my case B. Enviro Sciences). He has always been supportive and encouraging personal goals; For me it was international employment.
Overall, he is a great professor and I can’t wait to take another course with him!
Thank you.

There are too many to say "Thank You" to at my school (St. Peter's Secondary) I would like to thank mostly to my guidance counsellor Mrs. McGillis wo have helped me through my tough times with home and school of all my four years in high school, to Patsy Young helping me get through struggles with myself but if it's possible I would like to thank all the teachers that helped me survive my high school years :)
You are ALL equally amazing to me!

As I was trying to come up with a good response for this contest the names of many of my past educators started to appear in my mind. Of course I wanted to thank my kindergarten teacher for letting me paint the walls and run wild throughout the classroom. Or my 11th grade Chemistry teacher for providing me with my daily nap, but I felt the person in my life who I could never truly thank enough would be my guidance counselor Mr.Pattern. For he has literally provided me with all the guidance I could ask for and more. Having not grown up in this country my parents found it really difficult to provide me with relevant information when it came to choosing a university. Mr.Pattern helped me a lot throughout my grade 12 year, I relied on him immensely when it came to university information and deadlines. Because of his non-stop help and encouragement I was able to make it into my dream school. For that I believe he deserves all the thanks for my future accomplishments and more. Thank you Mr.Pattern !

I would like to thank ALL my teachers at Burnaby North Secondary School for using their own time afterschool or during break to help me understand the lesson and to prepare me for the upcoming tests. I would also like to thank my counsellor for supporting me and helping me through all my personal problems! High school was not easy, and it was definitely a long rollar coaster; however, I couldn't do it without all their support and guidance!

I would like to thank my teacher Mr. Schalk, from F.P Walshe high school. He has a great attitude and personality. He makes every class enjoyable, whether he is teaching me math, chemistry, calculus, art, or Career and Life Management. I have been in his classes since grade 10 and going to miss him greatly when I graduate. He is always calm and patient with students, a true saint. Thank you!

I want to say thanks to Dr. Schuurman at Redeemer University College. In addition to being a great prof and caring for all of his students he helped me out when my laptop was not functional. He's a caring prof who is genuinely interested in his students. He has amazing amounts of patience and definitely doesn't get the recognition he deserves for it. Thanks!

I would like to say thanks to Jamie Dyce, who taught a personality psychology this year at University of Alberta. While I was taking his course, I learned a lot of information in a interesting way, and plus gained more interests on psychology! Thank you Jamie,

I wanted to say thank you to Prof. Lara T at UVic. She taught me an introductory women's studies course. She is very clear and looks at the problem from a variety of angles. She always takes time to listen to peoples' opinions and was very helpful when she made time to see me for office hours. Her feedback and instructions are clear just like her expectations. Thanks Lara!

Mr. Henderson is so much more than just a teacher to me. Math being my weakest subject since childhood, there were times when I had nearly given up. Mr. Henderson continued to push me to it by giving me extra lessons after school. Even when I begged him to call it a day, he worked harder for me than I had endeavored.
There is always a reason behind two people crossing paths. So I consider God has blessed me to be Mr. Henderson’s student since he truly helped me reach my grandest goals, while teaching me life. “If you relinquish over a simple math test, how will you ever face the real world my dear?” His touching words and his weighty lessons is the reason I have gone from strength to strength by ultimately reaching my goals in Math.
Though Mr. Henderson has left us on Earth just over a few months ago, he has left permanent footprints in my heart and will continue to be the most influential and meaningful person in my life following my parents. I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to Mr. Henderson for being the best educator anyone could ever ask for. Perhaps I didn’t say it enough times when he was alive.

I'd like to say thank you to my TA, Shayne, from Trent University. I spoke with him often during my first semester and he helped me overcome some of my anxieties of starting university.

I want to say thank you to Ms. Kerry Clark who works in Student Services at Southridge School. After receiving news about finding out I have a learning disability in grade 10, Ms. Clark has been there the whole way pushing me and always having a positive attitude. I am very thankful that I am allowed to use extra time and have an alternate setting for my tests and am very grateful that she is there to allow this to happen. Now in my graduating year I look back over the years and see that because of her my grades have increased and I have been able to become a better problem solver on my own. Thank you Ms. Clark with all of my heart, you mean so much to me!

I want to thank mrs. Rosensweig because she made me understand that I can never impress everyone and I should focus on the priorities in my life rather than the slight distractions.

I would like to say thank you to Norma and Jodi - the heart and soul behind the recreation and leisure program at Conestoga College.
Every day, they show up with a smile ready to teach us to be servant leaders to our communities. Not only do they teach us, but they lead by example in their personal lives too. Norma remains a close link to our community by participating in after school program creations and sitting on community center boards. Jodi is our healthy lifestyle teacher and completed an Iron Man training and triathalon program as well as teaching a full course load.
They teach us the meaning of recreation and leisure services is not all about the grades we get in our classes but about the people who we can touch every day whether it be children, senior citizens, or youth. They inspire us to be servant leaders and to reach out to help people. So I want to say thank you to them, for inspiring me to be a better person through never passing up an opportunity to live out servant leadership by helping someone else.

I would like to give a big thank you to my grade twelve personal fitness teacher, Mr. Bedard, at South Carleton High School. Mr. Bedard taught our class how important it is to save some time for yourself each day. He made sure we were all taking care of ourselves by eating properly, exercising regularly and getting enough relaxation during the stresses of grade twelve. Considering all of the academic and personal skills learnt over the course of the four years, Mr. Bedard's class has most definitely proved to be the most valuable for myself.
