Naa don't be nervous, it's only uni! I've been to York a few times to visit my girlfriend, and the campus isn't that great lol, but it's the program I'm interested in. Plus, where better to study Criminology than right next to Jane and Finch. -.-

I hear you, I just wish they would give up straight up acceptances so we could breathe.

Hi, I got into Criminology at York as well! I was just wondering, what would the maintaining average be for the program? My average was 83.5 when I got accepted, but it's probably going to be 80-81.5 for the finals. Do you know the exact average you have to maintain?

Hey, I had the exact same question because I got in with an 81. I called them and they said there's no specific average you have to maintain, but it shouldn't be below 80. The guy on the phone said it doesn't really matter if it's 1% below that, but anymore than that and it'll probably be rescinded. I wish they were a bit more clear, seeing as I'm so close to the cut-off, but oh well, I recommend that you try to get it as high as you can, and if it does go below 80, then take summer school. I took an online course for summer just in case, but hey if I work hard then I won't need it. But I'd rather not leave it to chance, because if they revoke the offer then I'm screwed.

Hiya!

I got accepted to York and my field of study is Human Rights and Equity Studies! I was considering Criminology since I heard that it's a really good course to study and as a matter of fact, it's pretty broad since you can take many courses whether it'll be social sciences, sociology, law and so forth.

Perhaps I may take the 6.00 credit but it depends on my schedule. Man, I'm so pumped for UNI!!!

And yeah, I heard it's really good too.
Lol, I was excited at first, and now it's whatever, but I know I'll be super excited again.
Maybe I'll see you around (I lied there are like 50 000 students at York)...no joke.

Actually, I'm from Toronto but I chose to live there for social exposure and to experience a uni life.

HAhaha! I'm glad it went well. Yeah, considering it the third largest uni in Canada, which explains it pretty well, haha! How many courses are you taking?
