Hey I am new on the forums and I have applied to University of Toronto - St. George for Computer Engineering. Under the join.utoronto.ca site, my application is still under 'Pending review' while on the Engineering Portal there is a blank space under 'Application Status'. I was just wondering if anybody is in the same situation as me.. they accepted me for Computer Science but Computer Engineering is my main choice. Midterms are coming up in the following week so is this normal? Going to: U of T St. George Computer Engineering

In the same boat as you. But my school completely messed up my Math (both CV, AF) and Chemistry marks. They are fixed now. The second wave should be around the corner. They said the next one is in April and then mid-May. Not sure... exactly when. I heard if your average is above 90ish%, you are most likely in (unless your SPF is reallyyyy bad). 2012 - 2017

I had a 90% average for my first semester (92 Advanced Functions, 94 Comp. Sci. 94 Religion, and 80 English) So far I think I am doing good for this mid-term (92 Chemistry, 95 Calculus, and ~80 in Physics - not sure about the latter mark). And I handed my SPF about a week before the due date. Hopefully they will relieve me of my sleepless nights.. Going to: U of T St. George Computer Engineering

check your ouac if your marks are in or not... for me even though i got my midterm report on tuesday, marks still arent updated on ouac.. if you dont see your marks on ouac, then uoft didnt get them either so just be patient, they dont individually send out offers, they do it in waves.. :)

I think most of the offers are given out already at this point assuming they do things similar to last year. I had a bunch of friends who didn't get admitted to ECE, I know one had an alternate offer to mineral engineering mid May, which is total bs so he went to UW for ECE and the others just got reject in mid May. Looked like everyone had their offers in March. I don't want to be pessimistic, but expect a rejection/alternate offer. Also my app status was stuck like the way you have described until it showed up on OUAC and later the portal updated, not completely sure since it's hard to remember. Yeah I checked the my OUAC application and I saw that my midterm marks were up on the "Academic Information" section of the application. Hey, Arviny I noticed you got accepted into Computer Engineering and Computer Science - both at U of T St. George. If I do get rejected for Comp. Engineering at U of T, would you recommend going into Comp. Engineering at Ryerson (got accepted) or U of T Comp. Science (which is probably were I would be heading). As a follow-up question, were you awarded any scholarships without the need for application (i.e. essays) at U of T? Thanks a lot for the responses.. P.S. the portal is still the same (blank under application status - pending review). Going to: U of T St. George Computer Engineering

I'm in the exact same position as you. Blank app. status in the uoft spf site and pending in the join uoft site. I think everyone who hasn't got accepted yet is the same way. Dont worry. McMaster University Engineering 2016

Same thing. Not exactly sure what it means, because a lot of people got alternate offers when they weren't eligible for their first choice program. University of Waterloo: Systems Design Engineering Class of 2017

U know there is a free switch from indy to mech after first year and it is almost the same thing. So you should be good even if you dont get into mech. Waterloo Computer Engineering Class of 2017

I've been reading post from the other years. I'm seriously starting to not understand U of T's admission system. Several people have claimed to have been accepted to utsg in the week of may 13. People have also said that they know others who have lower averages but already accepted. I myself know of people who applied to the same program with lower averages but already got acceptance. I am personally still pending for a response myself. It says "pending review" on the u of t site so I'm going to assume that they havn't looked at my application until it changed to "decision pending" (of which people have said occurred before they're acceptance). I hope they give us a reply soon Applied To:

i think u of t would send some offers pretty soon because people who have received an offer from university of toronto have to accept/decline by may 10th. if they decline, more spots would be available and that's when the school will send more offers. University of Toronto: Chemical Engineering --- Rejected...was 1st choice University of Toronto: Computer Science --- Accepted (April 19th) University of Waterloo: Chemical Engineering --- Accepted (April 7th) McGill University: Electrical, Computer & Software Engineering --- Accepted. (Mar 12th) University of Calgary: Engineering--- Accepted. (Mar 13th)

I believe the expiry date for all offer of admissions is June 1st, because that is the date of expiry for my offers of admissions to U of T St. George Comp Sci and Ryerson Comp. Engineering. Some people have been saying that U of T will be sending out offers of admission during the third week of May as their final wave. I cannot be 100% sure though.
