Hey uh... that facebook group for Ryerson... It's called Ryerson 2016... but everyone going there next year is going to be class of 2017... Carleton Architecture - ATTENDING

is anyone still waiting on ryerson? cuz they still havent rejected me or accepted me and carleotn put me on wait list....even though i got accepted to OCAD for environmental design i dont wanna go there as much as ryerson.... :(

I really want to go to ryerson.. so nervous @cassoo could you tell me when you got accpeted to ryerson and carleton?

oh ok my bad... not like I need basic math skills for architecture or anything.... hahaha speaking of which, @garyluk, if you're still following this thread, what were your first year classes like? I've heard plenty about the lack of sleep, and that Ryerson puts an emphasis on the science side of architecture, but what kind of courses did you take? Also, would you recommend taking a minor? I'd like to take psychology or something but I don't want to crumble beneath the workload. Carleton Architecture - ATTENDING

Hey everyone, I know this is kinda late asking...but im scared cause i havent heard anyyything from Ryerson! Im scared to death! I dont know what id do if i dont get accepted! I have no other options! Waterloo has already rejected me!! =( I havent received any emails from Ryerson, and my portal says still pending...=/ I see some people on here have been both rejected and accepted and its making me really nervous! No one from my school has heard anyything! WTH!!?? These are my marks.....
Calc 95%
Religion 92%
English 89%
Physics 80%
Art 80%
Functions 75%
I know i know my functions is scaring meee! I feel like crying! But it is what it is right now. However....i do think my porfolio is pretty good and the test that I wrote at the school was ok too. So i really dont know what to expect...Any suggestions or comments...or anythinggg else would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!

Oh godd...it suckss doesnt it?! I hope they do too! And hopefully its good news!! I hope u dont mind me asking...how are ur marks? Is it cause we arent good enough or what? My marks are not amazing so is it cause of that?

I'm sure your marks are fine, you're just around the admission average which is 85.9% if I remember correctly. University of Waterloo: Systems Design Engineering

Oh ok phew...well im getting an 80% in Data Management....which is still bad but higher than the functions mark...which would they take? I believe the Functions because it is a prerequisite right?

Your Data mark would be taken. They use English, Physics, and one Math (either Calculus OR Advanced Functions), then three electives. University of Waterloo: Systems Design Engineering

they definitely pay more attention to your portfolio and extra curriculars than to your marks. My average is around 85 and it was lower when I applied. Carleton Architecture - ATTENDING

Mhmm yeah that makes sense. I personally think my portfolio is pretty good, I mean it was looked over by my art teacher..and im pretty happy with it. And in terms of extra curriculars..im a part of four school councils, I do volunteer work, and ive partici[ated in many art contests. In your opinion, do u think thats good enough? Thanks!

hey guys! i got the email from darren o'campo saying they liked my portfolio and exam, and my average is an 82.2%. i STILL haven't heard back from them, but i went to the last exam date possible. any chance i'm getting accepted? i'm stressing over thisss SEPTEMBER 2012

That's odd, me and someone else on this forum with that e-mail were accepted. Your average might be on the low-end, but I think the program accepts people even with averages lower than 80 according to CUDO. I was also on the last exam day possible (morning session).
