i recommend western biomed if you're planning on med school :) and why do you say that exactly? =/ or in your case, queens science would be the next best choice since you didn't apply to western my friend at mac life is seriously regretting it, for many reasons. the city is depressing, the campus is bad, the buildings look like they're 1000 years old, and the courses there are "too general". if you do research on mac life you'll see exactly what i mean by courses being too general And yet you applied... I don't know what your friend is talking about unless he made some sort of superficial generalization based on limited experience. Dundas, Ancaster and Toronto are all great and nearby. The only thing about Hamilton is the east end which you should probably stay out of. Hamilton has a ton of incredible nature pretty close to the campus. The campus itself is beautiful, and I don't know how a building looking 1000 years old on the outside can be a negative. Of course first year courses are general. There are a lot of areas for specialization in upper years, and some programs exclusive to mac. McMaster 2015 Bachelor of Health Science

You're welcome and to everyone else who didn't get an offer, do not feel bad at all. This is far from a perfect program and your rejection might actually turn out to be a good thing. As long as you are a motivated individual, you can reach the same end goal, regardless of the path! :) What you said surprised me. I thought everyone in the program loved it! I got my offer today and am debating on whether or not to accept. I pm'd you! Any advice would be appreciated : ) The admission process is a good example of the subjectivity in play. All you need is 90% and 3 persons reading you essays would decide your fate? Either it is way overboard subjective or it is just a random lottery based on luck. How can they pick their student based on that? I am afraid that it would be more of the same in this program where marks are given out based on how they like you and your team. It is not sour grapes, I am happy this is over :) Western BioMed 2016

No one knows what Mac wants from these supplementary applications and I find that to be a huge flaw in their decision process. so I got rejected. But I don't feel bad. Queen's science is where I kinda wanted to go from the beggining and I convinced myself that I liked mac because health science was known for getting people into med school. however, their admission is quite flawed. My friend who got in to stanford with a 2310 on his SAT just got rejected from mac health science.. they really should do interviews because you dont get a feel for the people you are letting in with 4500 words -_-.. you just dont. however, mac's loss anyway. They just lost two Mensa members (me and my friend).. queen's science 2016 here I come.. (kinda excited cause even though mac is a much better program, queen's has the best campus ever and the nicest atmosphere). maybe mac med school :P (but John Hopkin's really) McMaster Health Science- rejected Queen's Science- Accepted Western Biological and Biomedial Sciences- Waiting Guelph Biomed- Accepted
