I just got accepted to the GB/Ryerson program on May, 18th with an 87% average. I applied through ocas about 2 weeks after the deadline so im surprised that I got an offer. I hadn't really thought about this program too much and had accepted my offer to brock. I saw there will be a brand new waterfront campus and it is close to all the best hospitals. For anyone going to the gb collab where will you live? I know neil wycik is an option but any others i dont know about.. are we eligble to live in ryerson res? If anyone could tell me info they know about the gb/ryerson program that would be great!! I am really considering this program now! UOIT BScN Class of 2016!

I completed my bachelor of science degree from the University of Guelph in June last year, but I wasn't sure what I really wanted to do in terms of my career yet so I took the year off and just worked at various jobs. I applied to nursing for this Fall and have been accepted to a few schools. I received my offer of admission early March for Ryerson/GB and Ryerson/Centennial, and I have accepted the Ry/GB offer and declined Ry/Cen.(I was only given about a week and a half to decide). Recently, I was put on the waitlist for Ryerson's main site and a few days ago, received my offer of admission to York/Seneca and York/Georgian. I think I am going to decline their offers.
Anyone else going to the George Brown campus? :)
Yup George brown campus here! Also a university transfer :) Yay!! Nice to meet you! What university are you transfering from? Ryerson : Waitlisted Ry/GB : Accepted Ry/Cen : Declined York/Sen : Declined York/Geor : Declined

Well, I am going to be commuting for the first little bit to see how it goes. Regarding the program, I know that you will do your first 2 years at George Brown and then your last 2 years will be at Ryerson's main campus. Here is the website with all the info: http://www.ryerson.ca/nu...gdegree/home/index.html
Hope this helps! :) Ryerson : Waitlisted Ry/GB : Accepted Ry/Cen : Declined York/Sen : Declined York/Geor : Declined

I'm so pissed..... My application still said under admissions review so I called george brown today and they told me they didn't update my marks so my application was incomplete.... Now I might have to wait until august for an offer they said......but it's their fault for not updating.. My marks were in ocas already.

I've already accepted my acceptance to George Brown Ryerson, and I'm about to have an anxiety attack. Alright, so my chemistry mark is not going very well. Like it's REALLY bad. My lowest mark of all high school. My teacher is just waaay to new, and know waaay too much. My mark is lower than the conditional offer mark, and I'm afraid they might revoke my acceptance. I don't know if I will be able to push it up before the school year ends. My guidance councillor told me to call Ryerson, and tell them that I will be taking it in summer school to upgrade my chem mark. But I don't know.
Will they revoke my acceptance?!?!
Any comments or help?! ughhhhh. I am pretty sure that your final marks have to meet the cutoff average by August 21 (at least for most unis), so that would give you time to redo chem in summer school. And while you may not look forward to it, you should definitely call GB and talk to them. It's harder to deny a real voice a chance rather than just looking at numbers on a scree; I'm sure they will be sympathetic. Good luck! UWO: Nursing Class of 2016!

What was your top six average? and what did u ask when you called? my top 6 average isn't very high, its a 82.5% if counting my gr.12 math and if its my gr.11 math then its 84.1%. I called the head admissions officer of the BsCN program asking them about the status of my application and if i was missing anything and they said my marks weren't in. So now they have to relook at my application and the lady told me i'll probably be put on the waiting list. x.x

Yes, you do get notified when you are waitlisted, you can find out if you are waitlisted usually by checking your application status through your account/portal of whichever place you applied to. I know Ryerson said that most of their offers for Nursing have already gone out in mid-may :\, but I guess the latest day you can expect any response is May 29th.

I envy you nursing people. My mom is a nurse... she did it at Fanshawe before it was a bachelor's degree.
I looked at her paystub and the year to date amount was something like 88,000 dollars. She's been working there almost 10 years, but still. Goddamn. Maybe I shoulda picked nursing...

Its already MAY 30th and I still haven't heard form gb/ryerson, cent/ryerson, seneca/york. I'm a mature student sitting on an average of 84%. I've been emailing and calling them. They just tell me that I'm still under admissions review and to wait. I've been waitlisted from UOIT. I've written on this forum before around April venting about the same thing lol soo sorry if you have to hear this from me again. Here are my pre-req courses again: English 12U - 80% Chemistry 12U - 81% Biology 12U - 85% Advanced functions - 90% Is anyone out there still waiting? I wonder what I'm doing wrong!? University of Ontario Institute of Technology: Bachelors of Science in Nursing(hons)
class of 2016!

My friend got an alternate offer to York instead of getting into Nursing. Is it a good idea to go to York and then do the second-entry program for Nursing? Is it better to become an RPN and then do the bridging to become an RN? Waterloo 2018 Bachelor of Science and CAP 2012
