Hey guys, I was admitted to York bio early December. I accepted the offer June 1st and already booked my enrollment appointment. However I had a 81 or something average first term. However my top six average including pre req has dropped to 79. I believe they have a 80 percent requirement for those that apply to the program. Will my offer get revoked for that 1 percent ? Can someone with experience pleas answer this.

It may have been an 80 for admission, but what did they say for the mark you have to keep to keep your conditional offer? This is usually either on their website or in the admission package they sent you. It will usually have lower requirements that you must keep compared to the average you needed to be admitted. University of Guelph Software Engineering, 2016
Applications (for Fall 2012): University of Waterloo - Computer Science (Alternate offer to Geomatics, May) University of Guelph - Software Engineering (Accepted, March) Carleton University - Computer Science: Game Development (Accepted, February) Carleton University - Interactive Multimedia and Design (Accepted, March) The University of Western Ontario - B.Sc. Computer Science (Cancelled application)
First semester (mixed w/ grade 11 marks) average: low-mid 80s Second semester midterm average: 81.33%

I believe what they mean by maintaining your admission average is that you shouldn't drop more than a few percentage points of what it was when you were admitted. I think as long as you didn't drop 4-5% you should probably be okay (but call to confirm this). UCC '12 UWO Medical Sciences '16

Alright so the admission average required to get in, is not the same after u get admitted, like I wouldn't need to keep the admission avg to get in when I already have been accepeted correct ?

They'll usually say "You must keep an X% average (maybe some other terms as well, e.g. no prereq below 70) to keep your offer of admission." University of Guelph Software Engineering, 2016

I know York doesn't give you a certain number to maintain but 80 is what you have get to keep your offer AND from what I have heard even if you get 79.9%, they expect you to go to summer school and give them their magic 80. Know that for a fact for Science faculty.
Good Luck!

If York never gave you a number, how do you know 80is the magic number... When schools say to maintain your avg, they don't necessarily expect it to be the EXACT number. THere is a range. If the avg they admitted you on was 80, I'm sure a 79 will not get you rejected.
